A show to remember now and in the future forever
One of the greatest progressive rock bands of all times. This gig is from 2002 at the New Jersey City for Nearfest. It is the comeback of the original line up: Roye Albrighton- guitar and vocals, Mo Moore- bass/vocals, Alan Freeman- Keyboards/vocals, Ron Howden- drums and Mick Brockett- liquid lights with special guest Larry Fast- synthesisers and with the additional performers (Scott Krentz- percussion, and the backing vocals Maureen McIntyre and Michelle Eckert. It is a sublime show, one of their best, if is not the best. The show contains "A tab in the ocean" openning, which is a magnificent music that emerge like a symphony, Desolation Valley, psychedelic at the same time intimate, the greatness of the conceptual suite "Remember the Future (parts I and II), the soft and joy of "Nelly the Elephant, It's all over, a beautiful ballad who is the end of Recycled song, the Recycled itself, again a conceptual song, very strong, full of energy, with a beautiful choral, the majestic "A day in the life of a preacher", the heavy progressive Crying in the dark/King of twilight (this last song Iron Maiden played a version in the EP Aces High), the powerful Fidgety Queen and other great songs. This is a must have, without doubt. ,

Great Album!!!
GREAT ALBUM!!!!! It was the second night of the reunion tour of all the original members of Nektar with a few additions, some backing vocalists that helped to fill out the overall sound. A visit from Larry Fast to do the songs from Recycled was a nice touch. What's especially cool to me is that I was at this show!!!! I had also been to Town Hall in New York City the night before for the very first show of the tour. The band was fantastic and it was everything that you would have expected from a Nektar show in the 70's right up to the liquid light show. If you love Nektar, you will LOVE this live album.

try it you will like it and remember the future
okay this is the deal here. if you are a fan of nektar this is a great buy. if you are not aware of any history of this band and live anywhere other than the greater tri county area surrounding New york city you will not know about these guys. one of the only bands to have a dedicated light show tech on the payroll. Nektar never came out to the left coast but in the bay area we had a d j who played them regularly on his show. so if you want to learn and hear any music by these guys this is a good representation of their style. and a good collection of tunes represents all they can do. however there are studio versions of the important tracks that may sound better this is a good buy for long time fans.

Number one of the two cds is not as good as it should be
Number one of the two cds is not as good as it should be, i sounds as if it was recorded from the speakers ad not from the desk. Number two is a little bit better.
