You can't help others if you don't help yourself, first.
Full disclosure: I have followed the website and discussion boards of the "PCOS Diva" for many years, and have done other programs of hers, but none with as much success and vigor as I've used this book, and I'm not one to give compliments and gratitude where none are due.Amy has written a book that anyone struggling with PCOS can find help in. It is well organized with a great index, which I've used extensively as I go back to find specific information. Her writing is clear, and her encouraging tone shines in every word. There is so much information contained within these pages--everything from supplements to help with inflammation to recipes, to what labs to ask your endo or gyn or family physician for. Amy lays out a clear, step-building 21-day plan to positively impact your life if you're struggling with PCOS symptoms. There is encouragement and guidance for beyond the 21 days, because learning to thrive with PCOS is a lifelong endeavor. If you follow her guidance, really work to change your mindset, you will notice amazing changes in those 21 days, and those changes will spur you to want to change your life forever. While I don't know if I lost weight, per se, (this is NOT a weight-loss book; weight might come off as you crowd out the processed foods with fresh whole foods, and add movement to your life), I do know that my physical and mental well-being have had drastic changes. My bloating is gone (hello again, wedding rings!), my sleep is better, my stress getting easier to manage.Invest in yourself, follow this plan for 21 days and more, and you won't regret it.

As well as being a practical PCOS resource, it is a wonderfully hopeful and encouraging book
I’m really excited to share Amy’s wonderful book as a PCOS resource for my community of anxious women. As she explains, anxiety can be a common symptom of PCOS. Amy describes how this can be due to insulin resistance, low blood sugar, low progesterone, estrogen dominance, thyroid issues, overall inflammation and also high cortisol. The sections on the difficulties of getting a diagnosis, testing and medications are invaluable. And the section describing the different types of inositol when it comes to PCOS is excellent. She writes that research suggests that women with PCOS may not be able to efficiently convert other inositols to D-chiro-inositol (DCI).I love these gems she shares: how it’s so important to begin your healing journey by establishing your PCOS Diva mindset and practicing mindfulness; that the best movement for women with PCOS is whatever you enjoy; that the best way to overcome gym anxiety is to think like a PCOS Diva i.e. don’t wait until you have lost weight and then go; the importance of the vagus nerve and improving vagal tone; and so much more. The recipes are wonderful and a 21-day plan makes it do-able for everyone. As well as being a fabulous practical PCOS resource, it is a wonderfully hopeful and encouraging book and you can feel Amy's warm support with you throughout the book. I really love the opening pages where Amy says: "I deserve to be a PCOS Diva. I need to be a PCOS Diva".Trudy Scott, Nutritionist, Food Mood Expert and author “The Antianxiety Food Solution”

If you only read one book to learn more about treating PCOS read this one!
After years of trying to conceive and experiencing a miscarrige. I had massive blood work done up to figure out why I felt so terrible. I was diagnosed with PCOS, Hashimotos and Insulin resistance. Medication started to help my symptoms but not fully and not enough to successfully get pregnant.I started to do my own research and stumbled upon Amy Medlings website. The information I was reading from her FAR EXCEEDED anything the doctor told me about my new diagnosis. So I bought the PCOS diva book. After gaining a new insight on what was happening to my body, I started to implement her suggestions. 2 months later I became pregnant and had a healthy baby girl. I truly feel that I owe it to this book! I even discussed the information from the book with my OBGYN and they told me to continue doing what I was doing because that it was working. If you want to learn about PCOS and how to help heal your symptoms... READ THIS BOOK!

Healing from the inside out!
I am excited for everyone to read Healing PCOS and learn about reclaiming your life with PCOS. I wish I had a book like this when I was first diagnosed at the age of 16 but I am happy others will have access to this wealth of knowledge and proven results not just by Amy but by all of us, the thousands of women she has helped. I discovered Amy Medling through her PCOS Diva website and was fascinated by her passion for helping other women with PCOS. When I started learning about PCOS and taking control of my life, I was completely broken and had given up hope of one-day conceiving. Amy’s gentle and self-care focused approach it’s completely different from any medical opinion I was ever given. Amy focuses on your body, mind, and soul and healing from within as well as making peace with your body and nourishing it instead of fighting it. I am currently 5.5 months pregnant with my second child and I honestly believe that I was able to conceive without any medical intervention thanks to Amy’s PCOS Diva. I want to share this wonderful book with many others who are suffering from PCOS symptoms and I hope you will buy it! Thank you, Amy, for writing Healing PCOS, an amazing gift you have given us!
