Tea Zone 13 oz Thai Tea Leaves

It tastes Just like the Thai restaurant ! I love it!

So I somehow became obsessed with Thai tea. We went to a local Thai restaurant for my birthday and my well traveled daughter ordered a Thai tea with coconut milk. One sip and I was hooked! THis tea makes it very easy to make at home much more economically. I use a lot less sugar than they recommend in the directions, make a large pot and keep in fridge for a few days. Yum

I use 12 Tblsp. of tea leaves per 8 cups of water. 1 Tblsp. of sugar per cup. Then when ice and a fair amount of half & half is added, the flavor is simply wonderful !!

After trying dozens of Thai tea leaves I thought I would never be able to replicate the incredible Thai Iced Tea from my favorite Thai restaurant until a friend recommended these tea leaves! They're great!The only downside is the scent while they are boiling... they smell a little bit like another type of leaf that I personally don't find to be the most pleasant smell (and could make friends wonder what is going on in the house if they come in while it's boiling...) but the scent very quickly dissipates after 24 hours and in my opinion is totally worth it!I definitely think that the recipe matters, so I'm going to share mine: Bring 1 bag of leaves to a boil in 15 cups of water. Turn the heat off when it starts to boil and let steep for 24 to 48 hours. Serve 1 glass with 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk. If you don't want to use sweetened condensed milk, then when boiling the leaves add 1.5 cups of sugar and serve with a splash of milk or cream.

I really liked this tea.. it has a smooth taste!
