I loved this book to the point that I was able ...
The Walls are Talking exposes the abortion industry using stories from the people who formerly worked in it, and the testimonies given are startling. The gore can be hard to handle, but what is truly appalling is the behavior of those working in the clinics and how desensitized they have become to the actions they are committing. One account tells the story of a woman who was given an abortion against her will after she decided to back out, and she was literally kicking and screaming before she was sedated. The Walls are Talking gives you a glimpse into one of the most profitable and scandalous corporations in the world, and if you wish to learn of the atrocities that really take place in abortion clinics, then this is a must read. I loved this book to the point that I was able to finish it in a few sittings. The stories are hard to process at times, but I was so curious as to what I would see next that I couldn’t put it down. I was pro-life before, but after reading firsthand what actually takes place, I can never condone abortion. This book clearly supports the preservation of human life and the protection of human dignity, which is something the world is sorely lacking right now. This book is perfect for anyone looking for the truth about the abortion industry, and I highly recommend it.

... Are Talking” by Abby Johnson was one of the best books I have ever read
“The Walls Are Talking” by Abby Johnson was one of the best books I have ever read. This book is about the stories of former abortion clinic workers and what they witnessed during their time at the clinics. To be honest, I was not excited about reading this book but once I started, I couldn’t stop. I was scared to read it because I heard it was graphic – which it was – but it wasn’t unbearable. In fact, I believe the graphicness of this novel was vital in making it such a good read. Before I read this book, I thought that Planned Parenthood was an organization that helped women get pregnant. I had no idea that it performed abortions and therefore, did not understand why Catholics believed it was so bad. After reading this book, my eyes have been opened to the horribleness that is abortion. Although I was already pro-life before reading, I didn’t feel strongly about it. Now, I do. I’ve already recommended this book to many of my friends (including my boyfriend) because I enjoyed it so much. I think everyone should read this book because you learn so much from it and it opens your eyes to the evils of Planned Parenthood. There are a lot of Catholic Social Teaching principle’s in this book including dignity of the human person, rights and responsibilities, and care for God’s creation. In this book, I identified the dignity of the human person because throughout the story, it talked about how every life is precious and each person has the right to life, especially the unborn. Another Catholic Social Teaching principle I found in this book was rights and responsibilities. In the story, a lot of the women’s reasoning behind getting an abortion was because they weren’t prepared financially or emotionally. I sympathized with their stories but realized that they are responsible for themselves. If they weren’t prepared to take care of a baby, then they shouldn’t be having sex. If they believe they are responsible enough to have sex, then they should also be responsible enough to care for a child. The last Catholic Social Teaching principle I found in this book was to care for God’s creation. In the book, it talks about a woman who saw her aborted baby and realized that it was an actual human person. In that moment, she realized that she was responsible for mutilating God’s creation and guilt overcame her. We are all responsible for taking care of God’s creation. Whether it be a flower or a person, it’s still God’s creation and we should all respect and care for it.

Love is indispensable
In my youth, I was full of pro-life vigor, and, sadly, sometimes hatred for the other side. Age, sad experience, and witnesses like Abby Johnson have taught me that loving is the only solution to all sin. C.S. Lewis points out that the best attitude toward another’s sin is to love and forgive and hope for the best for them just exactly as you would if it were yourself who you realized had sinned. I am so grateful that Abby ran into young pro-lifers who were so much wiser than I. The last chapter of this book is a cry for that kind of love.

horrifying stories from former abortion clinic workers.
In the novel, The Walls are Talking, Abby Johnson tells horrifying stories from former abortion clinic workers. Most of the stories told throughout the book are extremely sad and occasionally vulgar because these experiences show the true crime of abortion. This book is very informative about the act of abortion, but it is also a form of hope for those who have had an abortion or anyone who has worked in an abortion clinic. In many of the situations, the nurses that begin working for these abortion clinics become a totally different person, as if the life has been sucked out of them when they leave. There were several instances in this novel that left me speechless and extremely sad. One of the things that stood out to me the most while reading this novel is how contradictory the workers of these institutions are. While most of them are feminist activists, their actions go against what they fight for. Most of them begin working for these abortion clinics to support women’s rights and fight for women to have the choice of what to do with their body; however, many of the workers’ actions are completely different. There are several cases that this happens in, but a few specific ones come to mind. A young girl Johnson named Jessica, did not show up the next day for the rest of her operation. The doctor called her phone multiple times and to get in touch with her, he actually called the hotel she was staying at and forced her to continue the abortion. This example shows that people that are fighting for women to choose what to do with her body are actually choosing for the women. In this case, the mom wanted to go to the hospital and fight for her baby to live, but the clinic had different ideas for her. This is one of the several examples of how the principles of Catholic Social Teachings are shown in this novel. This book shows that everything about abortion goes against the dignity of the human person and the rights and responsibilities we have as Catholics. The dignity of the human person is violated with abortion because it goes against the belief that humans are sacred, redeemed by God, and created in the image and likeness of God. This book shows that abortion and abortion workers do not respect rights and responsibilities because one of the basic rights is to protect life above anything else. The Walls are Talking by Abby Johnson, is extremely eye opening and inspiring to hear how clinic workers

Very powerful testimonies are given by former abortion clinic workers in this book…
This book does not sugarcoat abortion and the testimonies are extremely powerful indeed… You will see the gradual change in their stance on abortion as their stories go on & why they underwent a change of heart. These abortion workers have dealt with the actual realities that everybody involved with abortion have to deal with and how the abortion industry would just like everything swept under the carpet and have women treat an abortion as just something routine: in the same way that you take pills to get better when you are sick so if you find yourself pregnant you can just conveniently have an abortion and just move on with life and live happily ever after… This is what the abortion industry would like you to think but in reality this is not what happens… An abortion scars many lives and this book reveals the real truth and reality surrounding abortion. The workers that have told their stories are very brave & courageous for having done this & they know what they are talking about as they have actually lived in the midst of these clinics. The stories told are very hard-hitting and jargon free… Because they pack such a powerful punch I decided to read a chapter a day so that I could take it all in. I feel for everybody involved, the babies, parents, relatives & the abortion workers themselves. People matter & the suffering resulting from abortion is something that I would not wish upon anybody undergoing or participating in something like this…I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewer who reviewed this collection of testimonies when they said that "Everyone must read this book".

Excellent, brave exposè of the abortion 'industry' and its traumatic effects on its workers
An excellent book, not an easy read but this is one everyone should read - not least because of the 'industry' that it deals with, and how it impacts especially women. I never realised (although I had wondered) how working in the 'industry' of abortion impacts upon the lives of those who find themselves involved in it. It is also shocking to read and realise how those who have left it - scarred and traumatised, often for the rest of their lives - find it hard to be heard. Not to mention those mothers who have abortions, who are often nudged into it, and who also suffer. This is one brave author. Everyone must read this book.

A Must Read
A sobering insight into the daily happenings and life of the the abortion industry. As someone who resides in Ireland, which recently legalized liberal abortion laws, this book is both revealing, troubling and, at times, deeply upsetting.I would recommend everyone and anyone who has an interest in the abortion world to read this; unlike other books which are a compilation of questions and answers, pros and cons, this book is merely a straight set of real tales from ex-abortion workers, so for this reason this book packs a certain punch that will blind-sight you at times and leave you winded.I highly recommend it!
