We have a little kitten who likes to get into the pots of our houseplants and play with the soil/dig/make a mess. This scat mat works great for us! She plays with the scat mat from outside the pot by touching it with her little paws (which is totally fine) but doesn't get into the plants anymore.But it only works for us on soil - it didn't work on furniture with some electronics on it that she likes to run around on. She presses buttons etc while she's exploring, so it's not ideal that she gets up there (she's allowed to explore and climb literally everywhere else and has a cat tree and all kinds of awesome kitty stuff, but no, she has to get into the electronics and the plants). Anyway, the scat mat didn't work there because she can just walk on it very carefully and still press stuff unlike in soil.

Works great as a deterrent to keep your cats out of places they don't need to be. I had an issue with one of my cats using the restroom under one of my bedside stands, as you can imagine I wasn't very accepting of that. I put this down and it definitely helped keep them out of that area and they went back to using the restroom in their normal spot. Only negative is that it wants to be rolled up so I had to staple it down.

Absolutely useless. This is about a foot wide, do my cats literally just step over it, and one of them just walks right on it and gives zero craps. Also its so tightly rolled up it doesnt want to lay flat and Im not sure how you’re supposed to secure it to hard wood floors other than ugly tape.Total waste of money.

I bought this product to keep my cat out of my many house plants. I usually have to cut an 8 inch section of the role then cut down to fit in and around the plants. My cat loves to pull soil out of planters and this product put a stop to that.

It’s rolled up in a box and doesn’t want to stay straightened out so if you’re using it indoors it can be hard. My cat loves a good challenge so this was basically something else for him to play with. He quickly figured out how to walk on it ... in between the spikes.... he eventually must have felt it was too much effort because after a couple of weeks it does help deter him. Not the highest quality or most functional product but honestly I’m happy with the result ... nothing else worked

Let’s get down to brass tacks; this stuff seems really uncomfortable for cats, without hurting them. That’s a win. But it will forever possess the curl of its packaged form. Seriously. You have to park a Tundra on either end to keep it laid flat. And if you so much as think about the mat, it will make you regret it. You’ve probably seen those old, garbage cartoons in which anthropomorphized animals inflict great violence on each other with dynamite or various metal objects (anvils, frying pans). In one of those god-awful things, Animal 1 will pull Animal 2’s tongue out to an indescribably unrealistic length, before letting go and delighting in said tongue retracting violently into Animal 2’s mouth and face, simultaneously rolling up on itself. That’s exactly what this mat does. Except, on its own. It’s basically a slap bracelet that never needs any slap.There is one high point, but it’s only mildly possible it would be worth the purchase price of this product. It’s the packaging. The Chinese-to-English translation on the package is pure gold. If there were a star-rated category for “Causes deep and meaningful belly laughter”, boom. Five of those bad boys.

This is just awesome!! It hasn’t just stopped my cats from ruining patio furniture and flower beds but also, it’s helping me to keep my cute chickens away from pots, tables and other surfaces.Spikes won’t hurt them, these will just make it really uncomfortable for any critter trying to take over your furniture or dig in your flower pots.

Worked great to wrap around the base of my Christmas Tree. Used to prevent my cats from scratching at the trunk of the tree.
