Ethical Fleece Ball 4-Inch Dog Toy

My Golden Retriever absolutely loved this ball/toy, but the enjoyment was short-lived. We got this on Saturday, and it instantly became her favorite toy. I think she really liked the light, fluffy texture, bounciness, and the squeaks. She had a blast with it for maybe a day or two, and then I noticed there was a small opening in the stitches and the stuffing was showing through. My dog isn't an avid chewer (she has a flexible nylabone that she chews on all the time but it's almost scratch-free!), but today's Tuesday and she has unfortunately pulled all of the stuffing out and the poor little fleece ball is now laying on my rug, flat and unloved.Given how cheap it is, I'd probably buy these again because my dog loved it so much, but sure, it'd be great if the stitches held together for longer. After all, these are labeled as "dog toys" and we all know what dogs do with their toys!

The little brown loop as seen in photo was missing. While it may seem trivial to some, my dog uses the brown loop to toss the ball and to carry the ball when running. Dog is clever and used fabric tag instead. Otherwise, this would be a favorite goto toy. Didn't send it back due to missing brown loop because my dog had already eyed his new toy. Would also welcome a 3" ball which I did not see at time of purchase.

First, the squeaker on this is LOUD. No idea how but it just makes more noise than the others. He loved it. Me, not so much but it made him happy so what the heck. The construction was pretty good.Let's face it, there's no plush toy that will last unless your dog wants it to. Mine has a whole methodology where he first kills the squeaker, then eventually makes a hole in the toy and then takes out all the stuffing and the squeaker. This one lasted a lot longer than others I've bought but then maybe it was because he liked the loud noise it made.I never buy these thinking they will last I just want him to have fun until they're trashed and then they go in the garbage. This is one I would buy again... but maybe I'll add earplugs to my order. :-)

I don't know why it took me so long to find this! Being a working breed and very active my dog wants to play ball constantly - even indoors. No relaxing on the couch when you should be entertaining/playing with her. Having knocked stuff off walls, shelves and been hit in the head multiple times with assorted bouncy balls I kept looking for a soft ball to play with indoors. Nothing I found was soft enough until I found this fleece ball. Tossing around a stuffed toy just isn't the same as a "ball". She loves it, nothing gets broken and if it accidentally hits me in the head during our ball play - no problem. She likes toys with a certain "squish" to them so she can compress them and exercise her jaws. This has that and the added bonus of the squeak feedback she finds so irresistible. Like any stuffed toy if your dog is destructive or just likes to see whats inside by chewing it up, this toy would not last through determined chewing. My dog won't chew up toys she really likes fortunately. Well, occasionally I must do some "surgery" to reattach a toy's arm or leg. Highly recommended.

My dog is a serious and agressive chewer. He busted through this in about a day. If your dog is more gentle with toys, this may work for you.

Our dog will play with this ball but it isn't a favorite toy. I am pleased that no stuffing comes out and he hasn't, so far, ripped it open.

It was a little larger than I thought it would be, but both my dogs love it! My lab wouldn't stop staring at me when I was unwrapping it; after I gave it to her she paraded it around the yard for a good twenty minutes!The squeaker is nice and loud, and so far the ball seems very durable. We play fetch with it inside and outside, and my dogs like to chew on it and play tug with it as well. No rips or tears yet! I'll probably be buying more.

My little fur grrrl loves anything with sheepskin or fuzzy coverings and loved this one to death in about a week. Boo!

It's not very durable but if your dog likes soft toys, it's good for that. If your dog picks soft toys apart, this won't last long.

My tiny dogs love these furry balls but they do not hold together to well. The dogs made holes in the ball in 2 days.

Need to make these toys more durable. My dog ripped it apart in 5 mins.

Puppies loved it. Got dirty pretty quickly. Can't find it now to wash it, one of the rascals hid it.

Sadness! This looked like it had the potential to be SO much fun - it was my girl's favorite things - fuzzy! Squeaky! A ball! But NOOOOOO!! I merely left the room for a moment only to return to find this completely demolished by my German Shepherd.I couldn't even recommend this for a smaller dog as it was that flimsy and a potential choking hazard with the stuffing.
