Brilliant. Just works.
Brilliant bit of kit.Used to install a Hikvision IP camera over coaxial cable. It's very easy to install and just works.Been in please for over 12 months and have never had to reset anything. Brilliant.

Packet stormed the network.
This item caused a packet storm when connected to the network without a coax attached. I know this isn't supposed to be connected this way, but what happens if a cable becomes loose or disconnected? Won't install this on anything other than a personal network where the user is aware of the (potential) problems. A packet storm will block all network traffic as another user reported.

Mixed thoughts on this EOC
This worked out ok in my test environment of about 6 feet of rg6 coax. No problems for a couple days. Decided I was ready to implement in my real ip based camera network. Installed on a 100' run of rg6 coax and the setup up booted fine no problems. At about 5 mins I noticed network irregularities. Meaning cams attached on the same network we're losing the video feed for a second and then coming back. Ok, not the first time an ip based cam has flickered. At 10 minutes every camera on the Poe switch shut down and would not come back. Powered cycled switch and everything came back online except this device. Dead. Tried other Poe ports nothing. My advice this device might work ok for a small home use. For commercial applications, I know the alternatives are more than double, spend the money. As a weird side note, the large device in the pic is the receiving side(camera). I wanted it the other way around as that barely fit for my application.

Good Product, Work Well, Bit Pricey
This product worked really well. I needed to connect new POE High Digital security cameras in a client's store. The client did some remodeling which made it diffcult to run new cat6 cables in some locations in the store. So I decided I would reuse the exisiting RG59 coaxial/power cable. This product allowed me to connect the new ethernet cameras with the old coaixal cables. It took a few minutes for the picture to show up once it make the connection. Once it is connected you may need to go into your DVR and make some changes to your video settings. Overall, the product works, the picture is really good. The only question I am unable to answer at this time is how long it last. I installed it six months ago and it is working so far. Once negative is the cost. For a small number of cameras it is fine but when you are dealing a large number like 16 cameras, the cost adds up quickly.

Great Product / Great Vendor
This is a fantastic solution to get around the 328' distance limit of POE. Not only that, but COAX is far more durable than Cat5/6 cable. We tested this device with RG6 and a total cable run of about 550' -- works GREAT, and rock solid. ONE IMPORTANT NOTE -- this device requires POE.. so you cannot just connect to a non-POE device (apparently the device uses POE power to achieve it's magic). Again -- works great ... highly recommend!! ... And great customer service (if you need it)!

This is a very slick solution because it is both simple and works really well extending high bandwidth 20MP video over IP over coax combining both the POE and the data over the same coax. I really like the idea that it can use 48VDC because it works over RG-59 which as a very small center conductor.

Outstanding PoE over Coax adapter for any 802.3 af / 802.3 at camera that can be powered by standard PoE switch
Super product. I use it to power one of my 5MP Axis cameras (P3367-VE) and I have zero issues. Almost difficult to believe. This is a high power camera and records a 2592x1944 (5 MP) stream 24x7. I use two different VMS systems to record, either one of which would immediately notify me of any intermittent disconnects or other connectivity / stream delivery problems. So far, so good. PoE over coax is intrinsically problem-prone. You are trying to re-purpose antiquated technology for something my more refined and modern. The fact that the camera on the other end of a coax cable is able to properly be visible to the PoE switch and that switch correctly interprets the camera's PoE class and delivers power accordingly is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Had one set that stopped working, order another set and seemed to be DOA. Device is fine as it powers up with POE directly to the switch but PoE tester and device don't get power on the second unit but worked fine on the first one for about 60 days. Will try one more set and then move on to another option.
