A cookbook with 'some' other info
No doubt this is basically a cookbook with some interesting and useful notes about using seaweeds as food, as well as other info about use in industry and generally useful properties thereof. I saw it on a shelf years ago and remembered it as more of a field guide-slash-cookbook, while it has some info in the 'finding' regard it's pretty general. A center section with some photos. Does not give much info as to what seaweeds are actually poisonous, there are a couple. If you're looking for a harvesting guide I'd look elsewhere, but add this one to your wild harvesting cookbook rack.

I regret buying.
I'm never going to use this as intended. I wanted a field guide that helped easily identify edible seaweeds along my coast. The photos/drawings provided are horrible, it gives the impression this book is outdated and old. They are not offered in color, and are hardly identifiable. The photos on the cover are the best thing going for this book.

Dated material
Granted the state of seaweeds is pretty constant; however the POOR photo quality makes it difficult to identify the seaweeds, which makes it a hard book to recommend.

No color pictures at all
This book has shown some of the common seaweed you can find in Pacific Northwest. However, the drawing are not very indicative how to find them. I was hoping that there will be colorful pictures to help identify different seaweed, but there are none except the front cover.
