Stainless Garage Door Cables for Torsion Springs Garage Door Cable Replacement 8'6" by 1/8" Garage Door Wire 4 Cables in one Pack

Two days in and one had the crimp break off at the roller end. I installed one of the other two, and the moment I put tension on it, same thing, the crimp in the roller end snaps (this time with just the torsion spring spring pressure). So the 4th is in, and I'm just waiting for it to break now.Buyer beware, these people don't know how to crimp ends on...

Hopefully this one was just a dud. The clip that its in the roll at the top of the chain ripped off. Luckily no one was in the garage as this bullet could have done significant damage. These are allegedly rated for 1700 lbs. as I can lift the door myself I know that the chain wasn't holding close to that.

Item arrived quickly. The length was a described however as you can see from the images circle in red the attachments crimps/clips are much smaller than the original and the wire itself was a little thinner that the original cable. The small crimp/clip at one end did hook into the drum. I just hope it will not slip out in the coming month. The loop at the other end was wide enough for easy fitting to the garage panel however the metal crimp/clip was much smaller than expected and the original cable.The description state it can hold 1700 lbs however with such small crimp/clip I wonder if this is possible or it is the wire only that can hold that weight.Will review again in the coming months on weather the crimps/clips are still holding one.Otherwise, the product is completely fine.

I needed several pieces of 1/8 stainless steel wire rope. Normally I would go to a store and buy the lengths I need, but the pandemic has me staying home. Buying this item gave me enough wire rope, and was far less expensive than buying a long roll online. The wire seems identical to the pieces I had on hand. Since I cut off and discarded the crimped on attachments, I cannot comment on those.

I purchased your cables and relied on your 8' door opening and a 8'-6"(102") cable was supplied which was 6" less than I needed. Now I have 4 cables that are pretty but useless to me. My fault for not measuring my old cables. Error in information supplied?

Just like description and picture. Make sure you measure the thickness. Mine looked bigger then 1/8” so I ordered these 3/16” ones. I actually had 1/8”. They worked but harder to install.
