Wish I had bought to get this BEFORE we went to Europe but at least we're prepared for next time

It works fine. It is somewhat longer than my other one, but that is useful when the electric socket is further away as may be the case in a hotel room.The extra length is good to have.

In fact I bought this to modify it into a travel adapter / mini-extension-cord by replacing the female end. While doing that I saw that the cable was well made, and I have since tested the plug in a variety of outlets while traveling.

I wanted a European power cord for my Smart USB Charger which uses the same kind of 2-prong figure 8 power cord. This cord fit the charger perfectly. I'm sure it will work just as well on other devices that use the same kind of cord.
