Nice gloves, but not in for the long haul
I really did like these gloves. They are nice looking and they seemed to be of high quality. They are snug at first, but they mold to your hand very well. I liked them enough to order a second pair to rotate them. Now for the bad. I went to use my previous pair, which I've had for 3 months (Mid April to mid June 2019) and noticed the thumb strap had broken off and a tear on the inside of the left wrist. I generally use them for pad work 3-4x per week, heavy bag work 2-3x per week, and light to moderate sparring 1-2x per week (more often 1x), so they get some miles, but nothing I would expect to destroy them in 3 months.Weigh the good against the bad. If they hold up they are very good gloves, and I certainly hope my second pair does. Maybe I will remember to update in another 3 months how they've done.

Amazing Value For Money
I love these gloves. My boxing coach, who has been in boxing for over 20 years as a fighter, coach, and matchmaker, says they're great as well. I wanted the Hayabusa gloves that are twice the money but he pointed out that their double strap system may as well be laces; these Anthems can be easily taken on and off by the wearer.I've been beating on them for a few weeks and they show no signs of excessive wear. They still look and smell new and fresh. I love the leather material and the vintage brown finish, and appreciate that they offer a complete lineup of interesting and creative leather finishes. The oxblood one will be my next pair.I can foresee no potential issues and have gotten nothing but compliments. I feel like my game has been upped too. Nothing boosts your confidence and drive like owning great equipment. Thanks, Anthem! I know you're a new brand but I hope you stick around and get your name out there. I don't have my book just yet but once I do I'd love to wear your gloves.

There was a rough start, but I have been extremely satisfied with these gloves.
[Update 09/23/2020]The replacement gloves have held up fantastically. I continue to use them on the heavy bag several days a week, and the gloves continue remain effective, comfortable, and intact. I have tried out a few other gloves along the way, but these gloves are by far the most comfortable pair I own, and I would definitely be willing to purchase another pair when these finally do where out on me.[Update] After contacting Anthem Athletics, their customer service was excellent. They have arranged for me to get a new pair of gloves with no down time in my fitness regime. I have added a star back thanks to the customer service. The gloves definitely look and more importantly feel great. If they do last, then I look forward to bringing the review up to 5 stars.I workout in a kickboxing class 4 days a week, and I needed some new, heavier, more comfortable and more durable gloves from my starter pair of gloves. The look and feel of these gloves is outstanding, but they seem to be a strikeout in the more durable department.I have only had them for a not even 3 weeks and one of the rows of stitching literally just fell right out. They aren’t the most expensive pair of gloves on the market, but they certainly aren’t the cheapest either, and for their price and materials used I expected a MUCH longer life than a few weeks.

Don't Change A Thing
I've worn these gloves 6 days in a row now on the heavy bag in my garage and can say that they're great. I've thrown thousands of punches in them, and taken off / put on the gloves dozens of times. They fit snug, but easy enough to pull on over the 137inch wraps. The cuff is nice and long and flexible so it can be as tight of loose as you want. The padding is solid and formed to the natural relaxed hand posture and the thumb padding is sculpted so that jamming the thumb is all but impossible. Only thing I changed was to cut the little tie between the thumb and other fingers.. You can't use one glove to pull on the other without using your thumb and that tie is in the way (don't need it). I also cut the strap they had at the base of the split below the palm (what's that for anyway?). These are a super pair of inexpensive practice gloves. As with any glove, be careful not to damage the lining when donning / doffing these Anthem 14oz-ers and you'll find a good bargain here. I hope the Anthem people don't change anything, including the price. If you like the little extra elastics, they're great. If you don't like them like me, just cut them and the gloves'll be great.

Bought a pair of Stormbringer II Leather Boxing Gloves
I bought a pair of black 14oz Stormbringer II Leather Boxing Gloves. I am happy so far. I am not a pro but have been boxing for exercise all my life. I have had a lot of boxing gloves but these are my first real leather gloves. I have to say you can not beat these for the price. Certainly not profession boxing quality, but in my opinion is the best you can buy on a budget. I am very happy with the purchase and would buy again. However, I think they are going to last a long time, so not sure when I would really buy again. They come in different patterns but I am old school and just bought black. I am no expert in boxing gloves, but they seem very nice to me, for the cost.

Good value, good support and very comfortable.
I'll preface this review by saying I don't have much experience with boxing or boxing gloves. I bought these for a celebrity boxing event I'll be doing in about three months and I've only had about six weeks practice with him so far. Still, I've been doing classes four times a week so I've had a chance to break them in pretty well. from a comfort standpoint, these are excellent and gloves. I'm a tall guy with bigger hands so keep that in mind when you're purchasing. I got the 16 oz conversion and have loved them so far. The grip bar around the four fingers is really sturdy, the wrist support is very good, I sweat quite a bit on the top of the gloves and they seem to be holding up and overall I've been very happy. I don't have really any complaints yet!
