Perfect for recovery.After a knee injury, you want stability, structure, and pressure around your knee. This was perfect for the months after a dislocation and torn ligament.The brace has an open area behind the knee to avoid friction and sweat buildup, and is a lot more comfortable than most braces.I have seen some reviews saying that this is a complicated brace, but I would disagree. I would say that this brace is the next step in recovery after fully immobilizing the joint. Perfect for when you are trying to regain mobility, but don't have full range of motion or strength.If you are recovering from injury or surgery, I would highly recommend! If you don't have severe knee issues, this may be too much structure and support for you.This brace will wrap around your leg and fasten in the back with velcro. Then, there are two velcro straps in the front and back to give additional support.The sides have a kind of support beam made of metal or dense plastic that has a hinge allowing you to bend your knee. After my initial injury, this support on both sides of the knee prevented additional dislocation throughout physical therapy and other aspects of my recovery process.I'm still using this intermittently when I know I'm going to be more active, and I feel very secure.

Reasonably priced and provides significant support. It actually works better than the one my insurance paid $900 for prescribed by my Orthopedic doctor. I’m very impressed.

When you measure according to the guide provided. It is small! I measured 18" which is a medium, 20" was the upper end in medium. I feel I needed a large as the elastic bands gather up behind my knee and it is very uncomfortable. Maybe consider buying a sleeve to go under the brace.

My son plays football and that the reason we ordered it and it said it’s a perfect fit (size med) and it supports his knee perfectly!

This has been my favorite knee brace. The metal rods on the sides help prevent my knee from twisting. I tore my meniscus and this has helped me walk without any extra support. I highly recommend (and even bought a second one).

I’m 85 years old and I find this to hard to put on myself and it’s uncomfortable! It might work for you just not what I need! I am returning this item! Nothing wrong with the brace just not what I need!

My husband has a torn ACL and could not get relief. This is sturdy and well made!!! He is functioning so much better again!!!
