The claps doesn’t work well. We haven’t had it long and I don’t think it will work for very long time.

This thick, black, 5' rope looks great stretched between my two gold stanchions. I use it in front of a doorway to alert people that entry is not permitted. People often don't read posted signs and this rope is a classy yet clear reminder that access is prohibited.The rope itself is well made with a shiny black surface. The gold end-caps aren't as classy looking because they are simply gold-painted plastic with a gold-painted clip on the end. They are a little cheap looking (because they are) but they serve their purpose and function fine.

I am using this to block off the top floor of our home when we have large gatherings to keep people from having access to our bedroom. The metal part is very yellow and very much looks like it is a coating that could wear off with time. The clasp is kind of flimsy feeling but works. It is serving its purpose for me but it won't get too much use.
