I bought this set at the recommendation of another artist on an oil painting group where I read and post on Facebook. I needed some smaller brushes, as most of my oil brushes are larger, and my smaller brushes are for acrylic or watercolor. Oil is too harsh for sable brushes. This set is excellent for the price.I expected them to be a bit smaller, but looking at the post, I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention. The brushes are sturdy with good bristles and strong handles. Since these are all filberts, I expect that I can get a bit finer detail with them. Overall, I am very happy with them, and I look forward to using them.

For the price, I am very satisfied with this brushes. I will buy them again. I do oil painting and these brushes work very well.

I like these brushes pretty well. They are cheap and haven’t fallen apart on me yet. I’m an oil painter and I tend to be rough on my brushes. Will probably order again in the future.

This set of brushes was a pleasant surprise. They are supple, comfortable to hold, and they transfer a lot of paint. I washed the bristles with soap and water as recommended and haven't lost a single bristle thus far. There are a few errant (curled) hairs, as usually happens with natural bristles, but they haven't been a problem. When you can easily spend this much or more on a single brush in an art store, this set is well worth the money, particularly if you go through a lot of brushes as I do. Will buy this brand again.

It’s hard to find a good quality paint brush these days, and prices are through the roof. You can easily spend the same amount on one single brush. I was skeptical of these brushes but figured for the money I couldn’t really go wrong.I am totally surprised and happy with the quality so far. They are sturdy, hold paint well, make excellent edges, keep their shape and I haven’t had a single hair fall out.If these hold up over the next few months I will definitely buy again and possibly won’t waste money on other brands.

I paint in Oils and am looking for some new brushes to try out, ran across these and they seem to be very good brushes at at a very low price, the brushes from the set that I have used so far held a very clean edge when painting. I wash my oil brushes every time I use them at the end of a session, reshape the edge and lie them flat till dry. So far they are holding up fine, without losing hairs, handles not swelling and cracking either.

The brushes themselves are fine. The reason for three stars is they're not the size they're supposed to be. ie you're supposed to be getting a size 12 brush but its really a size 10. The 10 is really an 8, etc (the size 2 & 4 are correct width though). On the plus side the handles are slightly longer than a lot of long handled brushes.

I go through loads of brushes. I use these to start the block in. Then I switch to my Rosemary and Co. good brushes.
