Out of all the toys he has this one is the one he goes and gets. He takes it up on my bed throws it around off the bed. Then goes and gets it down the stairs etc. So I like that he enjoys it so much!

I've been buying these adorable little chirring hedgehogs for my friend's pekingese since she was a puppy. She is not an aggressive dog, and falls asleep with her baby every night, and sucks on the fur while making kneading motions when she's resting. The chirring noise makes her so excited, so every two or so years I buy her a new one when the voice box dies and she's started to wear a hole through the side. I was super sad when BB&B stopped carrying them, and am happy that the next time I see the now ten-year-old dog I can give her a new one. It appears to be the same one I used to buy back in the day. As an update, I gave it to her this week and she loves it!That being said, I would absolutely NOT recommend this to some who owned a retriever or shepherd, or another dog who really fights with or destroys toys. This isn't a chew toy, and won't withstand being fought with.

This isn't the same version we previously bought a few years ago, which has held up well. We purchased this as a replacement since the old one is quite dirty and we figure it will eventually stop chattering. This one arrived and the sound mechanism worked the first few times and then just stopped. After a few minutes the seam came undone and the toy is toast. My small sheltie is timid and does not rip apart toys. This appears to be especially poor quality this time. The old one is still intact and still works. We will keep looking for a better replacement as it is his favorite toy.

We've purchased these little hedgehogs from a national retail store for our little Lhasa for about 6 years, I didn't think they were made by the same manufacturer because these were such poor quality compared to the others. Imagine my surprise when I went to the national retail website and I found the same toy, but ever so slightly different. The "fur-like" fabric on the two we just received was thin and I could see my dog getting pieces of it stuck in his throat. Then I was curious because I was sure I had ordered this same toy from amazon in the past, and I had. I put the old and the new together and there was a significant quality difference. The fabric used on all parts of these stuffed hedgehogs was unsatisfactory,Immediately after giving the hedgehog to my Lhasa a seam opened. This was a matter of minutes. My husband thought I dropped something. When he handed it to me I was confused. I asked what it was, he said he didn't know, he thought it was mine. I pressed on it, and it was the cute little hedgehog noise.With the others we've purchased of these we've never had any seam ripping. It also took us quite a while to find the "voice box" I thought, how's the dog going to be able to figure it out when we can't. Well he found it all right. He could have easily swallowed that piece that fell on the floor.The other thing, and this is the topper. The one you can purchase at the national "get anything for your home" retailer sells for just under five dollars, and it's a bit larger than the two we received. We figured we'd spend $5.60 because we didn't have to ruin the environment by driving to the Supermall for a dog toy. So, I've realized that I can go to this retailer, check the quality and spend less.Let me also say, non of this is by any means amazon's doing.Since this manufacturer sells these everywhere, they probably just started using cheaper material so they can make more money or these are from a bad batch? Did they run out of the "Good material so had to use the "backup", maybe the seam ripped open after a few minutes of play time because someone "new" is doing the sewing? They are just putting our furry family members at risk. What if the "voice box" was on the floor but this time a baby put it in their mouth? They could easily choke on it.Again. we've been buying these for years (the hedgehog's voice box doesn't last long) and this is the first time I've had a problem because I always check out the "squeaker" and make sure it's up high where others haven't been wearing it out.In the pictures, the two lighter colored Hedgehogs are the new ones, and the ones in the rear are probably a year old. The year old guys have short thick plush where the just purchased ones the "fur" is thin scraggly and matted. The older HH's look better than the brand new ones. What happened Pet Qwerks?

The chatter this toy was supposed to make was barely audible right out of the package, and within literally 5 minutes it made no noise at all. I would have returned it but my dog was anxiously waiting for me to hand it over as he watched me open the package and I didn’t have the heart to deprive him. He loves toys that make noise which is why I bought it. I’m guessing his interest in this one will be short lived.

My 4 year old dog absolutely LOVES this toy. He's not one for destroying toys, he usually will lay down and cuddle them, but they seem to look pretty bad after 6 months & that's probably around the time that the sound chip also dies out. I've probably bought at least 5 of them throughout the years. The first one I bought at BB&B & then they stopped carrying it, so luckily I found it on amazon; now my boy can continue to keep getting his favorite toy. The toy makes a very distinct noise that's hard to describe, it's not your typical squeak or honking noise, more of like a mechanical giggling noise. The material is fluffy at first, but after a few months it starts looking all matted and it just looks gross.

I’ve used Zack my little terror in many reviews he’s all I have and he’s spoiled. Zack has a pile of toys he play’s with all of the ones that squeak, and I’ve bought some that make other sounds but he won’t bother with them. This little monkey was so cute it actually looks like a child’s toy and with this I thought if he won’t play with it I’ll give him to my granddaughter who loves it. It’s amazing how Zack treats this toy because of the sound is all I can think. He has a soft almost crying sound that Zack treats different, he’s gentle, doesn’t have me throw it, and actually sleeps with it. He loves this monkey and it’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.

I bought this little monkey toy for my pup pokey, and she loves it. She carries it with her everywhere! It's durable too - she plays tug with it with me, and her best dog friend, and so far, it's alive!

I have a small labradoodle and have bought many dog toys. She is a light chewer and the majority of her dog toys and stuffed animals have lasted at least 4 months cause she does not chew aggressively. This toy states on it once it arrives that it is not a chew toy ( What else do dogs do when stuffed animals?????). This toy is made extremely poorly, after playing with it for a total of ten minutes the ear ripped off and there is a hole in the back. I now have to already throw it out. Because of COVID I will not be going to the post office to return it but am warning others. I have NEVER had this happen so quickly before, this really is a dangerous toy and I am very disappointed. Please be warned that mine almost choked on the ear that came off almost right away!! There are plenty of amazing dog stuffed animals out there!! waste of money and almost my dogs life!!!

Poor quality with ripped seems, contains a squeaker so not safe for pets

My Boston terriers had this cute little guy torn open in under 5 minutes with stuffing everywhere. Not sturdy or dog proof at all.

I don't know what the seller intends for dogs to do with this, but it clearly states on the label that it is not a chew toy. If my dog isn't supposed to chew it, what is it for? This wasn't clearly indicated on the listing, and I think Amazon should enforce a revision of the listing and remove it from the dog toy section.

My dog's new favorite toy! It may not be the most durable, and my puppy is pretty gentle, but it's held up pretty well so far. Some loose strings, but overall I'm happy with it and would buy another if my puppy destroyed it. My pup is a small 11lb Cocker Spaniel, and it's a perfect size.
