This is a very nice looking cane. It feels good in my hand and is very well made - almost a "work of art." For most folks it will need to be cut to the proper length. I had to take about 3/4" off - per my PT. The only complaint I have is that the clear coat used is very thick. What this means is that the first time it falls (and we all know how well a cane stands by itself) chunks of the clear coat chip off leaving very ugly craters in the finish. It weighs much more than my aluminum cane did but that's not an issue for me. I am a big man and put a lot of weight on the cane and have had no issues whatsoever.

I wish I had skimmed past the glowing reviews and bothered to notice the critical reviews. This thing is no more "English Chestnut" than I am. It's some sort of cheap synthetic product, and it looks and feels synthetic, too. Fortunately Amazon was willing to refund. I will donate it to the Goodwill, with a tag on it: "WARNING: This is a decorative item, for costume purposes only. It is not wood. It is not meant to be used by anybody who needs a real cane."

The finish peeled off of the handle the first time I used it. The handle and cane portion were not securely attached and broke after a few uses.

I had a knee replacement. This cane is nice looking, solid, and feels good in the hand. I am 6'2" and the length is fine. If you are under 5' 10" I am not sure this would be comfortable for you...but you can always cut it to length and put a tip on it.

Can arrived on time, husband likes the cane, rubber end difficult to remove so we could shorten the length. Handle is comfortable in the hand.

I broke my ankle and needed surgery. When I got out of the cast and moved to crutches I started searching for a cane. I ordered this cane and received it quickly. Its very nice wood and totally capable for the job. I only needed it for a few weeks and have retired it to the closet. Would purchase this cane again. Oh and leg is doing well now.

Beautiful. Strong. Helpful. I decided that if I was going to have to use a cane, I wanted one that I could be proud of. This fit the bill exactly.

Unbelievably smooth grip. Although thinner than I expected... it's perfect for my wife.
