ORGANIC PLANETOrganic Traditional Whole Wheat Udon Noodles, 8 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Healthy not quite instant noodles
I used these noodles by heating in a large bowl in the microwave at work for about 8 minutes, threw in some frozen stir fry veggies and dried asian mushrooms, spices like tamari and ginger, and ate as a cheap and fairly quick and healthy lunch. They lose a star because they're not as thick as I expected udon to be. It's more of a cross between whole wheat spaghetti and udon.I've not bought them again just because I want to keep work meal prep time at 5 minutes. This takes about 10. I might get them again for home.

Easy meal add-in for udon, yakisoba
I ordered these to meet the 5-item subscription bonus for get 15% off of my subscription order. I figured at the very least, I would be able to throw them in some udon or yakisoba. Turns out, they're pretty good. For starters, they're a bit smaller in diameter than traditional white udon noodles - they're more similar to a linguine noodle size - and they certainly don't take up as much space in your bowl. They cooked quickly and easy and tasted great - try boiling them in chicken stock for a little extra flavor.

Love these noodles!! I used them in a stir-fried noodle dish and they held up extremely well. Great flavor and texture!

not sure this is whole wheat
these are ok, but they do not taste or look like whole wheat , it looks like plain spaghetti to me

Better than expected
Pretty much expected these to taste like other whole wheat noodles (like dirt). These are really good. They aren't as thick ad the udon I used to buy. But thsee are healthier and taste good. A nice replacement

Good Udon Noodles
I am satisfied with these udon noodles. I boiled them in salted water, and they tasted good added to soup. However, they have the thickness of a spaghetti noodle (maybe just a little thicker), not quite the wide Asian noodle I had in mind.

Broken up!
Taste is ok but after cooking, it was broke into pieces! I used chopsticks to stir occasionally while cooking. I always cook my noodles 1 - 2 minutes under to make sure I don't overcook it. I checked and it was al dente but in pieces. I had to use a spoon to eat it! I have 3 more packages but don't feel like cooking it because when I want udon, I want it in long strands so I can use my chopsticks!
