SkechersMen's Go Max Clinched-Athletic Mesh Double Gore Slip on Walking Shoe

Sometimes you learn the hard way. I have been wearing the Skecher Barrons for a few years and they are great daily wearers. But I have been trying to walk more (10,000 steps a day) and so decided to get these highly reviewed Walk Max shoes based on the description.Do not buy them. The shoes are effectively 2-2.5 inch high platforms on soles of foam. You would think, isn’t that just perfect for walking? Sadly the answer is no. It completely deadens road feel making your foot muscles incapable of understanding the forces involved. The higher and thicker sole means you also tend to land on your heel versus mid foot. And finally the soft upper provides zero support and stability effectively allowing the ankles to roll. After two days of wear I find myself regretting this purchase tremendously.All in all a very poorly designed shoe for anything other than occasional strolling. Sadly having worn it twice I can’t even return it.

The shoes I ordered are almost identical to the pair of Skechers I recently wore out. Naturally, I ordered the same size in the new shoes as I was wearing in the old shoes. The new ones were so tight my toes were trying to push out the front. Is it really so hard to maintain size standards under the same brand name? I had to send these back and order a size up.Followup review: I exchanged the 9.5 size for a size 10, same shoe, same width. These were so loose they wouldn't stay on my feet. Again, it's all about quality control in sizing, which Skechers seems to have lost. I have gone from being a loyal Skechers customer to looking for a new brand.

These make good slippers, or perhaps they should be called house shoes. They're very comfortable and give you a little more substance and grip if you're stepping outside for a moment. Fit is quite large on me, I'm normally a solid 9 in most brands, in these I'm an 8 (8 1/4 would have been perfect).However, even though I like them a lot as slippers, I don't understand why someone would want to wear a shoe like this for going out in. They're the kind of slip-on that just doesn't fit terribly securely around the heel, and there's frankly very little to them in terms of materials. Plus they simply look like slippers! Maybe that's a thing now, who knows. I suppose I've seen worse attempts at fashion.If you've never tried on this style of shoe and are hoping they'll make practical trainers for anything more sporting than gently shuffling around the house, I don't recommend them. I was looking for a shoe that fit the same as Go Walk Evolution but with a better sole that didn’t pickup pebbles. Unfortunately, the Go Walk Max Clinched is a little tighter and narrower. It presses on the top of the big toe and all the way up the top of the toe. It also is a thinner more flimsy material than the Evolution.Update! I ordered the same size but in wide. When you do this what actually gets ordered and sent is extra wide. Now the toe box has more room and does not squish my toes, but the heal is too loose and my heal slips out. I wish they just had a normal wide instead of extra wide. Then maybe it would be a great shoe that fits both my toes and my heal properly.AMAZON PLEASE BRING BACK COMMENTS TO REVIEWS. My husband only wears Skechers and usually a 9.5 extra wide. He walked out of those due to heel slippage, we exchanged for the 9, but the same thing happened. Head’s up - there may be some sort of design flaw here in this particular shoe. If you have ever had heel slippage, save yourself the time and pass on these. For other shoes, Skechers are great!

My husband recently broke his hip. Prior to the accident he had always worn Crocs, but his physical therapist suggested he get shoes that were less slippery on the bottom. I own several pair of Skechers so suggested we try those. He absolutely loves them! They are very lightweight, making it easier for him to walk, and the memory foam insole is wonderful. We are very happy with this purchase!

I wear a size 13, so on recommendations here, I bought a 13. Well, after wearing them a couple of times, I walk right out of them! Mostly on the right foot.I believe a size 12 wouldn't be any better and may even be to short in length. I like the idea of a loafer type shoe, but this is my 2nd pair of these and they're sitting in the closet. I'm going to donate them to a shelter. I'm sure they don't get many size 13 shoes for those who need them!

I bought two pairs in like-new condition via Amazon in 12 X-wide as I have all my other Skechers. They arrived in exactly new condition, and as soon as I took my first step in them I knew why they were so readily available. Though they were the right length and width for my big feet, the upper is so large that when I would take a step, it was like wearing ill-fitting flip flops and my feet came out of the shoes so far my heel was completely outside the shoe. My feet would have to be at least half-again as big around for these to fit properly. I feel like someone punked me and gave me the shoes that belonged to that green ogre from the Dreamworks movie series. These are the worst-fitting Skechers I’ve ever bought (the other bad ones have been too narrow). I went to a physical store today and bought a new pair in a different model but the same size that fits properly.Same quality shoe, horrible fit, weird sole, returned immediately.

I've worn the Skechers Go Walk range for years and always found them comfortable. This variant is just as good as the rest. The fit is always good to size for me (size10) and I recommend them for people who do a lot of walks on good smooth ground.

Purchased a pair of go walk 6 which were of no use as they had no give in the upper. Sent back and bought these as they allow expansion. What a difference comfy lightweight and perfect fit. Can't fault them. Really nice quite smart/casual.

Fit perfect ,sketchers what do you expect. Good price only downside just the one colour in my size ,but very comfortable will buy again when needed
