Nice to look at....
The plastic that holds the straps is cheaply made and turns sideways on the straps so they don't lay flat. My 4th grader's school load is too heavy for this bag. Not much use if it can't carry anything more than a folder and 2 paperbacks.

9 year old loves it
The front is a furry felt like material. But seems very sturdy and seems to be able to carry a lot. Only possible issue is that the book bag isn't very deep. Otherwise, my 9 year old loves it!!
