Our PLA filament is an excellent general purpose material for most any 3D printed project. PLA filament in comparison to ABS provides more of a glossy finish, has a lower extrusion temperature and produces slightly more rigid parts. Keep in mind the lower melt point however for parts that may be exposed to temperatures above 80-100f as it can start to soften. PLA is also the preferred material for LARGE 3D prints as it has a much lower shrink rate than ABS.
