Amazing
To get this quality of a watch for this price is amazing. Looks great and it’s automatic so it will essentially never die. Retains charge for about 38 hours for me. Water resistance is more than likely 10 to 15 meters. Great fit after removing a couple links and super comfortable. I think this is a great starter automatic watch. Highly recommend

Great watch for the money, keeps time better than expected
I bought this watch to wear on vacation and it is a great watch for the money. Mine runs very well within a few seconds a day, much better than spec. The hand winding feels good and even though it isn't screw down crown the water resistance held up to a week of being in the ocean. The bracelet is adequate and I was able to get a good fit but I wish there was more than 2 points of micro adjustment on the clasp. I have a smaller wrist but the case is a great size that would work on many different wrist sizes. It looks great 20mm straps as well. I'm not a fan of the flat hardlex crystal so I swapped for a double domed sapphire and I highly recommend that mod, there are lots of parts for SPRE's out there and at the low price it is fun to work on.

Loved It!
This is a beautiful watch. It was a gift that the person loved. The value and size are perfect. They could of boxed it better as that was cheaply done for the price paid. I did have to rebox. However the watch is exactly as stated.

Solid value
I've only had this watch for a day so far, so keep that in mind when reading my review.. It arrived promptly (1 day early) and was well packaged by the seller. It really inspires confidence when you see how much care was put into bubble wrapping the watch being that it was shipped internationally. The watch itself is nice, classic seiko: good value for your money. I do have some complaints: the bracelet leaves a lot to be desired. It is quite noisy, if you have a lot of arm hair it will probably pull on it a lot. Also, there are only two points of microadjustment. I took one link out, and it was still a bit loose. I tried pulling two links out but that it much too tight. Even one or two more microadjustment points would help out a lot in this situation. The black face is nice, but I kind of wish I went with the slightly gray/ bronzish face. Black face is somewhat hard to read at times. Also, regarding the polished crown: when looking really closely, I already see some minor scratches just from like 8 hours of wear. I suppose that might be a good thing in a way, as you'll eventually have a bit of a 'patina,' personal to your watch. But dont fool yourself into thiinking you'll be able to keep the crown scratch free because that is apparently impossible. I kind of regret not going for the bronze face / bead blasted crown, but that is just my taste.Overall though, I'm a fan and will probably wear this watch as a daily for a good while. I might think about getting either an upgraded stainless steel bracelet or try it out with a nylon or leather strap. The watch itself is versatile enough to go with different things.Edit: the bracelet is by far the worst part of this watch. I have no substantial complaints about the watch itself, but the bracelet is downright bad. I cannot get it to fit correctly or comfortably on my wrist. Two points of microadjustment arent enough. I wish that they threw in a half link or something in the box. Its almost unwearble for me at this point.

Love this watch!
I've been considering this watch or one of the other similar Seikos for a while, but at over $200, it was a tough purchase to justify. When it went on sale, it was a deal I couldn't pass up.I absolutely love this watch. It isn't too thick or thin. The bracelet is easy to resize and has a spring loaded lock in addition to the safety clasp. There are three things I don't like, but they are not deal breakers. The first has been true of every Seiko I own and that is a lack of micro adjustments. There are two, which is OK, but some of us need a little more adjustability. Four would be an ideal number. The second is that it has hollow end links. A minor thing and certainly common on watches today, but solid end links are nicer and with a lot of the lower end competition having them, I think Seiko should really put them on this watch as well. The last, and the biggest, but still not a deal breaker is the push in crown. I don't wear watches in the pool, shower, or ocean anymore because of push in crowns, so I'm not worried about getting it wet, but every once in a while, we find ourselves getting wet unexpectedly. If I lost this watch because one of my mischievous friends pushed me into a pool, I would be very disappointed to say the least. Also, once again, the lower end competition is putting screw in crowns on watches that cost half of what this one does at regular price.

First Automatic Watch, Incredible Lifetime Value
After breaking 2 quartz watches this year, I decided to get a real watch that will last a long time. I did a lot of research and decided this watch fits my criteria for style, accuracy, water resistance, and budget. I can't believe how great it is to use this watch. It feels extremely well made. I love having the Day/Date function. The blue Saturday and red Sunday are an elegant touch that truly exemplifies the lifestyle improvement of wearing a quality watch. The lume is surprisingly bright. I adjusted the band fairly easily with a precision screwdriver to get a good fit. I think this will be my forever watch since I don't believe in consumer status symbols. It's a modest, attractive watch outside, and a mechanical workhorse inside.

Beautiful Seiko with solid build quality
Beautiful Seiko with solid build quality. I wanted a dress Seiko to add to my watch collection, and this is exactly that. If you have never owned a Seiko 5, be warned that they have a fairly short reserve.
