The selection of plain writing nibs is amazing, and the ink reservoirs on the back (the black things) hold loads. The fancy nibs are highly variable in the amount of ink they'll hold, so they look good but are less practical. Not all the nibs fit into the handles at the same angle either, they all do at some angle but you may need a pair of needlenose pliers to bend one or two to a comfortable writing angle for your specific hand. Well worth the cost, a good starting set.

I think this set is alright for beginners trying out pointed pen calligraphy, and the bundle you get is really good value but they’re not the greatest. They don’t hold ink all that well (and this is after priming). The nibs are seriously scratchy and flimsy. Even using super smooth, high quality paper and good ink; there’s a lot of friction and it’s nearly impossible to create even down-strokes. Hairlines are decent enough but you need to have some serious control and go really, really slowly to avoid big scratchy gaps.They’ve been a good place holder for odd-jobs, but I’ve since invested in better nibs and holders.

I bought this as a gift to my brother in low and he is a painter, he is enjoying and happy, always admire it.
