I bought it as used but actually was brand new. Just the box was damaged in a corner. Perfect fit for my dog. Easy to use and assemble.

The box itself is well made and folds up nicely. However, the flaps of the seat insert are flimsy and buckle/fold down easily. Used one time with our miniature schnauzer puppy who currently weighs 7lbs (and is still growing) and he ended up sitting at an angle because the flaps will not stay up. As others have mentioned, the tether is difficult to adjust if you utilize it with the seatbelt. Does not seem stable as it easily slides around our leather seats. The bottom should be made of a material that is less slippery to minimize movement. Great idea, but unsure if I would purchase again.

Constructed well and very suitable for our 14 lb dog. Only thing in our present car we had to put a small pillow so he can see out of the window. It is large enough for him to lay down also. Could be suitable for a dog a bit larger but not too much.

Love this seat. My dogs are able to sit inside comfortably, however, it is slightly cramped for my mini dachshund to lie down.

Travelling in an RV I needed two carriers that would hold securely with only a lap seat belt. The carrier was difficult to adjust and no matter how I rigged the straps it kept tilting top-heavy forward when the dog was placed in it. Even with the insert, the dog is sitting low and the carrier is very hard. If your dogs are like mine, they like to sit up and look out just long enough to get sleepy and then cuddle up. But if your dog is large enough to see over the top when sitting in the carrier, your dog is probably too big to lie down on the hard platform. As you can see, these carriers are very expensive. They appear to be well made although I'm not sure how one cleans it up once it gets soiled. My biggest problem came with customer service. I was traveling in a 33' motorhome and was unable to secure a return until I got home. To my surprise, the return time limitations were up and the company so far has not been willing to permit a return. Long story short, neither of my dogs would stay in the carriers without being tightly strapped and I was unwilling to do that. I simply had the very large carriers tag along on the crowded trip, moving them out of the way from one place to the next in the RV.

I liked that it folded, but it was too cramped for my 14lb ShihTzu. I sold it.

My 11 lb poodle loves her new little nest! We just returned from visiting family and it was an 11 hour trip each way. She is a good little traveler anyway, but the only time she fussed was when she wanted a snack, was thirsty or wanted a potty break, and was flaked out the rest of the time. She even jumps into it on her own now.The cover is not machine washable, and I'd drop it down to four stars just based on that, but Miss Priss loves it too much. We did put a blanket in for her to curl up in, and then a cotton sheet to keep her cool, that way if she got sick I wouldn't have a huge mess to clean up.I honestly was going to give this booster seat three stars because when we were on the road my husband gently tugged the tether and it came right out from the seat. We were horrified at the thought of her not being secured driving on the highway and through two major busy cities. Thankfully we had an old seat belt tether in the car and we used that to restrain her. My husband, however, looked at the instructions for the Skybox this morning (got home late last night) and noticed it was not supposed to stay, but we were supposed to remove it and secure it ourselves. So, back up to five stars!We decided on this seat mainly because of it being secured in the back, not bottom, with the seat belt and the lifetime guarantee. It's very comfortable for our little princess, too! We'll be getting a second one when our new pup is big enough to not be in a crate.Only con is as I mentioned before -- the seat is not washable, so if you buy this I would suggest using a blanket in case of car sickness. Spot cleaning an item like this is less than ideal!

It was annoying to install at first but the trick is getting enough seatbelt pulled out to thread through. The one we got doesn't hang but sits on top of the seat. Dog loves it. He lays down and chills and sometimes doesn't want to get out when we've arrived. Dog is 13 pounds and 16 inches chest to bum. Makes me feel secure that he is secured to the seatbelt. Worth every penny. Thinking of buying another for my other car

Highly recommended - especially for anxious dogs!We got into a car accident last year and it has made our pup a little anxious on car rides. We tried everything and eventually landed on this and it has worked really well! He goes into it by himself and is able to sleep in the car again.Attached the seatbelt through the loops in the back is a little awkward, but we don't have to undo it often enough for that to matter much.
