Ondoing Pet Carrier Backpack Adjustable Dog Puppy Cat Front Carrier Travel Bag Head Out Design for Traveling Hiking Camping Outdoor Use

I have a 14 pound dachshund that I purchased this backpack for. We used it recently when we visited a National Park that didn't allow pets on the trails. The backpack is well-made and has pockets on the sides for supplies like leash and water bottle. With the dachshund's longer body and shorter legs, we found that the head opening could have been a little lower, but we managed, and our little girl seemed quite content to be carried on her daddy's back. At one point, we moved her long body so that her head could poke out the side zipper. I liked that it has a hook inside to attach her collar to so that she won't fall out.

I took a chance on this for my mini-Dachshund of about 11-12 lbs. I purchased a medium. The pack was too deep requiring her to sit on her haunches and prop her paws on the edge of the head hole. Once settled in (loose footing made her a little insecure) she eventually quieted down and relaxed. The bottom offers no support so I am going to try folding up some towels to raise her up a little and give her a little better support underneath. Other thing is the straps were well padded but felt like they were going to slide off my shoulders - perhaps a little wide. I can make a modification to fix that as well. My preference is to have my dog in front of me, which is possible with this pack. Quality is OK considering the low price. I took a chance on this one instead of purchasing a much more expensive one that touts that it is specifically designed for the small Dachshund, but available only from a Canadian manufacturer requiring an additional $18 shipping to bring the price up to close to $80. If this one doesn't work out with the modifications - I just might have to resign myself to the expensive option.

I have a 10lb chihuahua that likes to travel but tires out quicker than I do. For city travel this was perfect! A quick hop on the street car was no problem.I ordered a slightly larger size just in case. My 10lb chihuahua had plenty of room. My sister's pug recently had knee surgery and was on bed rest for recovery. This bag was a perfect fit. He is about 18lbs.Well made, arrived on time, works! my only con would be that the head hole is the only ventilation. It might get a bit warm in there if you have to sinch the hole up all the way.

I care for my grand dogs and the Maltese is getting older and having a hard time keeping up with the shih tzu. This backpack holds her in comfortably. I did add a towel for comfort, she only weighs 7 lbs. She can be pretty fussy however she absolutely loves this bag, no whining or shivering. As mentioned in a couple of the reviews if you are under 5'5" could use tighter straps.

Needed a bag for a last minute hiking trip. After reading all the great reviews, went with this one. Was underwhelmed when it arrived. Shipping was great and fast. The bag is visually appealing. However it lacks in support and function. I have a 11lb maltese and ordered a medium. No support on the bottom so I used cardboard on the bottom along with 2 towels for elevation and comfort. During the hike she would gag due to the way her neck would hit the elastic on the opening at times. Side pockets were useless, not deep enough or room for more than chapstick and a phone once dog is inside. Thank God for safety clip bc my pup got her arms out twice. Pretty looking backpack but needs improvements

Based on the sizing charts I got the Medium. I have a King Charles Cavalier, she's about 16 lb, but she's 16 inches long from neck to tail, so she's tall. I got this today and realized that the baackpack is actually quite large! She can easily fit in there, along with maybe another one of her!!! There's plenty of room inside. It feels comfortable on my shoulders too.I WISH it had a more solid bottom though...it needs a hard bottom so that the animal isn't just dangling in a sack. I'll probably line the bottom with something hard, strong cardboard, maybe even a textbook, anything so that it's a flat surface for my dog to actually sit on.

My dog and I really like this carrier. He rides on the Harley with me in it. The only thing I would change is the style of the loop on top. I would not make a loop, I would use a strip of webbing horizontally in the same spot, leaving a gap for a hook or other means of hanging it. The reason is that the loop on it now tends to get caught in the wind and becomes a whip for my face and head (depending on if I've front loaded or am using like a backpack). Other than that, we like the large, adjustable head hole. The strap and hook on the inside have kept him safely tucked in (he tends to try to jump out). I like that the shoulder straps are adjustable and there is a waist belt. Would probably buy again, if needed.

We love this backpack (me and my pup)! It's go convenient when I was to take her shopping but also want free hands without people stepping on her. It's better than a carrying case because she isn't rolling around and I have more control over her safety. She loves being closer to eye level and is very comfortable. I wear the backpack facing forward because I don't feel comfortable with her on my back where I can't see her. Best dog carrier (especially for the price) by far!
