Hikari Usa AHK73314 Salt water Ich-X for Aquarium, 4-Ounce

I utilized this product in conjunction with prazipro after an ICH breakout in a 10 gallon which caused me to lose 2 clowns. We have 4 nassarius snails, 3 hermit crabs, GBTA, a small zoa collection, some GSP, and an open brain in the tank (As well as 12 lbs of rock and 15lbs of live sand). Everything survived the treatment really well except for the open brain. I expected some loss going in and was not too upset about it. While I have heard that invertebrates do not take kindly to this treatment, all of my snails and crabs survived. My GBTA did really well. My process was simple. I did daily water changes with the recommended dosage for two weeks. Then I did one more treatment a week later (with a water change) and let the tank sit for two weeks. After two weeks I did one last water change (60%) without adding this product. I put two clowns in a week after that and they seem to be doing really well. I would absolutely recommend this product.

It’s medicine for ick. It works as advertised if you follow the directions. It’s not ideal for scaleless fish so use with caution. But otherwise it will be a great cure or for use in a quarantine tank.

It's just 3% formaldehyde. Which does treat what it says, so eh.

Anybody that doses it in their main tank is just... using it wrong IMO. Formalin is best used as a bath for short durations, 30 or 60 minutes. This medication is one of the most accessible formulations of formalin (formaldehyde), and it's harder to over dose since it's a lower concentration. It's great if what you are looking for is "Formalin" or something like it. Use it in a quarantine tank, not your main tank.
