We used to make this ourselves and this is nothing like the real deal. Disappointing

This does not smell like poplar at all. it smells like frankincense and myrrh and it is quite strong.This is a waste of money. I ended up buying the genuine oil of black poplar,which is called balm of gilead,and yes it is quite costly. However, you don't need much and it will last a very long time. It stopped the itching immediately.This particular oil is only good for anointing purposes.

It says 4 ounces, it is really about 10 milliters. Very misleading.

I do not know how the seller of this product gets away with selling this. It is not Balm of Gilead. If you are looking for poplar bud oil this is not it. Do not recommend this product at all. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.

Note that this is not what old texts refer to as "Balm of Gilead," but you will not be able to find that for any reasonable amount of money. My understanding is this is from blossoms from a poplar tree. Smells good.
