Gets the job done and the removable baffle is a nice touch.
The media could not be loaded. Installed this on my 2005 Kymco Grandvista 250cc (aka Grand Dink, Bet & Win 250) scooter with 22K miles. Original exhaust started to crack at about 10K miles which is a know problem with this model. I welded it to repair the cracks but new cracks formed in different places so this year I decided to shop for a replacement exhaust. The only after market system I found cost $300 and the stock exhaust costs about $300. I was also interested in converting my one piece original stock exhaust into a two piece with a "slip-on" header / muffler to make it to replace the rear tire.My video shows what I did it and how it sounds. I highly recommend this because I believe it provides more noise reduction than some of the mufflers that cost around $30. Even with the baffle installed it provided probably a 40% increase in air flow over the stock exhaust. That killed my scooter's low end torque and reduced top end speed too. While I could have re-jetted the carburetor I like quite exhausts so I added my own custom baffle.Defect: After about 100 miles of riding the muffler loosened up inside and made a noticeable rattle. I removed the black back piece and took out the baffle and welded the metal screen into place. That stopped the rattle noise. I have about 200 miles of riding and the pipe is working good. The pipe adds a deep tone to my single cylinder 250cc engine.
