Ease of setup
The setup is simple, and you can secure it in place with a choice of fixture plates. No subscription is required. I'm not keen on the choice of doorbell sounds 20 to choose from, but I would prefer a more traditional bell sound in that choice. But, overall excellent value for money and a quality product.

Good product, app, and support
UPDATED 15/1/23: I fitted our new DB2 doorbell a few weeks ago. Executive summary is that the device is well designed and good value, but certain installation scenarios are problematic and the Android app is was buggy at first, but support identified and fixed the problem I was seeing. In more detail:One of the reasons I decided on this model was inclusion of the inclined mounting plates. However, the supplied screws are not long enough to fix these plates, and finding others that were both long enough and with a small enough head was not easy. Eventually found some at Screwfix. Note that I contacted EZVIZ Support about this and they were hopeless and failed to understand the issue. The design of the device, with the wireless chime and local storage is very good - I'm not in favour of paying subscriptions for cloud storage so this is perfect.Once installed it worked well enough. The picture is sharp although, in my situation, daytime callers are backlit and their faces are quite dark. The app was where the problem lay. I have installed it on my Android 13 phone and have disabled battery optimisation for the app as recommended. The app works well enough but then, every day or 2, push notifications stopped working. The only way to get them working again was to force stop the app and start it again. The same issue affected my wife's Android 13 phone as well. Reading the reviews for the app in the Google Play store, other people are also getting the same problem.I reported this to EZVIZ Support. It took a couple of weeks and some toing and froing, but they ultimately made a fix and it has worked perfectly since then.Taking everything into consideration, a 5* product.

Great but awkward set-up
The doorbell itself seems to be really good, but it only gets 4 stars as the set-up via the app is really awkward

Utter Junk
The media could not be loaded. Updated from original 3 star review..I already have 7 ezviz cameras so when I was looking to replace my troublesome Eufy S220 this seemed like an obvious choice to keep all my cams in the same app..But this doorbell is clearly not upto EZVIZ's normal high standards..PROS..Good image quality.Doesnt send me ghost calls at 2 am like EufyWhite and clearly visibleDoesnt sporadically stop working like EufyTamper detection works wellSD card stored in chime not doorbellLots of installation optionsCheap solar charger availablrCONS..Bulky compared to competitorsVery poor instructionsRidiculously small screws (Which you WILL lose)App registration nothing like as intuiayive as with other EZVIZ CamerasNight vision not as good as EufyWon't send movement alerts to AlexaChime is far too quietChime struggles to maintain a connection if more than a metre from the doorbell (this will be a deal breaker for most people).UpdatedSo after a couple of weeks use this turned out to be no better than the Eufy one it was replacing.Updated:ReturnedDespite the doorbell chime having its own dedicated mesh node responding to a bell press took so long the person was leaving and then I couldn't hear or talk to them anyway.EZVIZ needs to take a long look at themselves for releasing this junk. I've replaced this with a normal doorbell and an EzViz cam which doesn't have these same connection problems and allows me to communicate with anyone at the door.

Plug and Play
I already have 3 EZVIZ dome cameras in my house, so it is very compatible!I used to have a Ring Doorbell, but there was an annual subscription of £50 to record video - I wasted £300 the last 6 years! With this set up you just insert a micro SD card into the chime and you’re good to go - great product!

EZVIZ DB2 video door bell
Wanted a new door bell with video so we looked around and found EZVIZ did one which is wireless and has amazing features. We had already purchased an indoor camera of theirs and find the photos and video quality excellent.I've fitted this new door bell and totally amazed by it's feature, well worth the money with no subscription.

Not Bad overall but might let in rainwater after a few months
I bought this doorbell in February 2024, as I already had two EZVIZ cameras covering the front and back of my house. It made sense to keep everything on the same app. Setting it up and connecting to my Wi-Fi was straightforward, and it has been performing well since. The battery life is decent and depends on the sensitivity settings you choose. The build quality is solid and feels premium. However, I have two issues. First, when the doorbell is rung, it doesn't consistently notify my phone or allow me to answer it in real-time, unlike similar products like Ring. It worked when I first tested it during installation but failed to do so during actual use.Second, about eight months after I purchased it, we had heavy rain for three weeks, and water got inside the camera. The lens fogged up, making the picture unclear. I tried to return it to Amazon, but they directed me to contact EZVIZ directly, providing a phone number. After some back and forth with EZVIZ (including sending photos before and after the issue), they confirmed that the unit was still under their 2-year warranty and sent me a replacement in October 2024. The new unit works fine so far, and the picture quality is better.I can't understand why I couldn't simply return it to Amazon for a quicker resolution. Because of the water issue and the somewhat frustrating returns process, I'm giving this product 3/5. I still recommend it, but be prepared for potential complications if you need to return it
