SleepyBobo Portable Automatic Cot/Crib/Car Seat/Rocker (Gerry The Giraffe)

We ordered this before our baby was born, knowing babies hate sitting in car seats, especially when they're still. We didn't know the gender of our baby, so went with grey for our color scheme and animals for gender-neutral-decor. It wouldn't have mattered too much what the animal was, but we both said "awww" when we saw this little guy.This came in a really cute box designed to look like a little crate carrying live animals. Inside, was the base (which the body is attached to), and the head. There are also two inserts for the neck. You can choose the neck insert based on the height of your object or car seat. I tested it first without the car seat - it worked with the neck elongating and retracting as it should. When tested on the car seat itself (we have an UppaBaby Mesa, which is fairly heavy), it wasn't as smooth, but did the job. With baby in the car seat, it struggles and needs adjusted. But if you can get it just right, it can be the difference between a screaming baby and a calm one as you grab your diaper bag and coat.While it was pricey, it's larger than we expected and we knew we could return it if needed. It's worth testing to see if it works with your car seat or rocker. We figure, when we no longer need it, we can just make it a fun toy for baby - a cute bobbing giraffe!

I haven't come across such a piece of garbage in a long time. The box was actually more useful than the giraffe it self.

This is fantastic idea , my little boy loves being rocked to sleep (which i tend to do with my foot on his bouncer).Now i can let Gerry do his job, This also connects to his crib, so free myself up to jump in the shower whilst he's gently rocking to sleep.Beautiful Teddy also to have in any nursery , any first time mum could do with this!!
