The tone quality is amazingly deep, full, and not airy at all with proper breath control. You can get all the way down to #A by under blowing the B fingering and still quality sound. High notes Don't require over blowing and do not sound strained at all. Excellent quality over all especially for the price I would recommend it

Beginner novice ocarina player here, wanting to try a lower-pitched instrument. Overall quite happy with purchase.Pros: Plays in-tune, good sound for plastic ocarina, looks nice, plays easily.Cons: I've been experiencing more condensation on this instrument than on my other ones, which makes the highest pitches difficult to sound at times. Could be my beginner technique though. Also, be sure to note that this is an 11-hole ocarina, not a 12-hole, so the lowest note is a B-natural, or a B-flat if you underblow.I named my bass ocarina Mr. Owl! :)

I had my eye on this bass for a while now, and finally had the money to saved to purchase it! I saw some videos on YouTube of this particular ocarina and just fell in love with the sound compared to my Alto. I had also read that bass ocarinas are quieter, which makes it easier for me to practice since my husband and I sleep at odd hours.My biggest worry about this purchase was the size of the bass. I'm a woman with VERY small hands. The plastic ocarina was already going to put me at a slight disadvantage, as it can be harder to grip. But I knew the bass was going to be much larger, and I feared that I wasn't going to be able to hold it at all. Thankfully I had no troubles holding and playing the bass!It does require a bit more breath to play, or at least it feels like it does. I'm still a beginner (and I currently have the flu), so take my observations with a grain of salt. The low notes are very soft and quiet, almost a whisper. Overall, I'm absolutely in love with my bass ocarina.

This bass is so affordable. And so much lighter than the ceramic ones. I wanted a bass but size and price were my problems and barriers to not having my one. I found this one and now I own it. Just love it. I did not think I would like plastic butbthevsound is good. I love it.

Great sound quality. Would not recommend this as a first ocarina, but I would as a first bass ocarina.
