Works like a charm, but don’t throw away the ice in the bottom chamber.
My tips for using this product to produce crystal clear ice cubes. See pictures. It is completely clear, but it has a nubbly texture on the bottom that disappears completely when in your cocktail.1. Put it in the “warmest” part of your freezer. Our upright fridge has a space with no cooling coils on the bottom. Temp is still plenty cold to freeze water from cold air coming from above.2. Take it out after 24 hours and check it. You shouldn’t have to freeze the entire bottom part of the inner tray. See picture with unfrozen water in the bottom.3. Don’t throw away the ice in the bottom tray. Crush it up and use to mix your cocktails.

This works if you follow the directions!
This works! This set up really does make clear ice! If you follow the directions, AND use store bought spring water. The ice left in the bottom was easy to remove and broke up into four large ice cubes that I used in my large stainless steel cups! Bonus! Now the ice leftover is not clear, but who cares? It is big ice that is inside of a big stainless steel cup.

Honest review
The package came well packaged. This product contains 6 pieces. A styrofoam box, a silicone mold (in the shape of the box, a silicone tray and another silicone ice mold and cover and finally a storage bag. It came with no printed instructions. However, it didn’t come with directions on the side.I fitted the pieces together as they should be, then filled with hot water from the tap. You could use cold but I prefer hot water. The directions states: freeze for 48 to 50 hours. After about 2 days I pulled it out of the freezer and was at a stand still. How the heck was I supposed to get the cubes out of the mold? Too easy. I was able to easily remove the block from the styrofoam box easily. I then took my meat tenderizer and tapped on the silicone block until I was able to slightly bend and twist the ice mold and able to separate it from the silicone box.My old fashions look classy and professionally made. I’m going to keep it cause I’ve been making 8 cubes at a time and storing them in zip lock bags. I’m giving it 4 stars cause they didn’t send instructions on how to remove the cubes.

Ice cold whiskey
Perfect clear ice for whiskey…just make sure your glass is wide enough for the ice. I had to purchase new glasses as the ice wouldn’t fit.

Clear Round Ice
Pros:- It makes good clear round ice. These are ~ 2 inch round and easily fits in a standard old fashioned glass/lowball or even a smaller whiskey glass. The glasses in my pictures are about 3.5" tall x 2.75" diameter aka not a true standard old fashioned glass/lowball or 3.5" high x 3.25" diameter.- Worked great with my well water with softener. I used water straight from the facet set to cold for these pictures. I did not use filtered water, but if I do, I may come back and post an update.- It's easy to fill with water. See fill Instructions below for more information.- It's easy to remove the molds. See removal instructions below for more information.- Makes 8 ice rounds in one go.- Works great to stack in a highball glass for other cocktails.- Noticeable difference in my old fashions as the ice melts. Less mineral or diluted tasting. I feel like the rounds has to melt more compared to normal ice from any standard mold I own that are the same size before the cocktail tastes less potent.- I also feel like they do melt a bit slower compared to standard ice. I can finish the cocktail and usually be able to make another before the cube is gone but that's subjective to how fast the drink goes down 😁.Cons: **personal opinion** if you disagree with the below, rate it 4.5 to 5 stars.- The giant ice block at the bottom seems a bit waisted. You can let sit for a few than take out and store for other drinks like big batch punch or tea when hosting. Wish it had another mold at the bottom to turn it into cubes, rounds...something instead of a giant rectangle for reuse. True Ice molds do this with their cubes and I find it a very nice touch. However, their cubes can be a bit more "fun" to remove 🤷.Fill Instructions:You fill the unit until ~2 inches from the top, place the molds inside the unit. If water does not flow from the top as shown in one of my pictures, you need to top off with more water by filling through one of the holes. It doesn't take long at all.Removal:As stated earlier, to help with removal try to stay within the instructions limits. I usually let mine go for 24 -28hrs without any issues. Could probably do 30 without much fuss. Pull one handle of the mold out. I usually pull one of the ends first than the middle. For the big block of ice at the bottom. I usually let sit for a few minutes on the counter than dump into the sink or store for later uses like big batch tea when having guests.Other:Material, like many other molds that use silicon, can be a dust magnet. Not really a con but fair warning for those that would store this sitting out instead of in a cabinet or drawer.
