Just received this today and I'm happy with the purchase, all of the more important things that are included at the same quality would have still cost more had I bought them by themselves so I think it's worth it to have everything all together like this. The filing boards are take or leave for me but the rest are needed tools for miniature making. The clamps and the hand drill are fairly heavy metal and seem sturdy enough if used as intended. You may need to do a small bit of research on filing/sanding to be able to utilize everything that comes in the kit if you are a beginner. Everything does come in a plastic case which is appreciated tho it also is not made to be thrown around which for me is ok.The metal files come with silicone on the ends (red) and, from experience with other things, this cheap type which is already very slightly sticky has a tendency to react with other silicones/plastics/etc. and begin to melt especially if it's exposed to any sort of heat. I will be using an xacto knife and peeling this off to prevent a mess later on, again these tools arn't being used rigorously so in my opinion the lack of "comfort grip" will not be an issue. There's also silicone covers on the handles of the nipper (blue) but it seems to be a little better quality and I don't worry so much about it.The kit was shipped in a plastic shipping bag, not a box. I feel I was lucky to have received an intact plastic case that hadn't been handled too roughly during shipping. I hope Amazon will consider shipping this item in a box maybe with some bubble wrap or something in the future. If they continue to ship in the bags some customers might receive a broken plastic case so I wouldn't buy this kit for the case!

Great combo kit for the money. No others have the clamps AND vise, with all those files and such. My son is an expert model builder (The without tools kind) and celebrated his graduation to adult models with this kit and a couple of other accessories. Everything seems well enough made to me, easy to use, and plenty of sanding material too. He had already used everything at least once i think and he's only had it a week. A good buy if your kid is just getting into models or if they are going up in levels.

I just recently started building miniature doll house rooms (which is a ton of fun) and ordered the tools because my hands were too big and I ended up with glue all over the place. The tweezers, the tiny screwdriver, the small ruler and all of the other equipment is ideal for my tasks. The kit even has a miniature drill and vice for holding tiny parts. I highly recommend this product.

Only three because the fine point tweezers came bent. They were useless at this point. But the rest of the stuff is really nice and really decent quality.

has a lot of things you will need to start doing models or any hobby with small parts. not suited for kids under 12. it does have sharp tools in it.

This kit has excellent materials for the price, I'm very happy with the tools! The only thing I didn't like is the plastic box, which was cheap. So I purchased a travel toiletry bag to carry the tools in and that works so much better!

Does the job and have a the tool esp the vise-grip mount for the tabletop highly needed for precision cuts and sanding and to work on smaller piece.
