Nice but pricey
Great Minecraft play set for Minecraft lovers. My son is 6 and enjoyed building it and then using his Minecraft characters (bought seperatly) to role play. Sturdy design and quality is brill. Can be played with or used as a feature in kids bedroom. But It hasn't been touched since my son played with it for 1 hour. Does feel a waste of money.

For Minecraft Fans
This Minecraft palace is amazing. The set includes the palace, Minecraft figure, tiara and some additional Minecraft blocks. Assembling the palace was easy and straight forward. The best part about this set is the dance floor that folds down and lights up. The music player which is the brown cube has a button on the top which when pressed plays music. This was great for my grandchildren as they are Minecraft fans but in my opinion this playset is a bit limited in terms of play. The children use the characters to role play and enjoyed the light up dance floor but were bored after an hour. Overall, the set is good quality and well made.

Solid, Fun Set, but Basic
This MineCraft 'Creator Series' set is quite basic, but still good fun to play with. It includes one 'Party Supreme' character, and the front side of castle with a light-up/musical dancefloor. On its own it's a pretty simple set, but if you combine it with other characters from the Creator Series it opens up a lot more playtime. The dancefloor works well - you press the button on the back and it plays one of several different MineCraft songs, while the tiles light up alternately. The songs are pretty catchy, though they are very loud, so bear this in mind if you are hoping to have some peace and quiet while the kids play! It requires 3 AA batteries (not included). Some very basic assembly is required when you get it out of the box, and most people will have it up and running within a couple of minutes. It also includes a download code for MineCraft (Bedrock Edition) for a 'Party Supreme' character.Overall it's a good, solid playset but a little on the simple side considering the relatively high cost.

Basic but fun
The set is easy to assemble by following the instructions. The set is durable and easy to clean if required. The hard plastic ensures it is hard wearing too. The dancefloor is a fun addition, it has the songs installed and also lights up too. This requires three AA batteries which are not included. This minecraft set looks quite basic on the outset but my six year old little boy had fun playing with the set and it spiked his imagination. I like how it can be used with other minecraft sets. This would allow for further imaginative play. The details in the set are great and it looks good on the side when not being played with.

...
As an adult I'm impressed with this playset as it is big & sturdy, with lights & sound. Also I liked that you get everything you need - including a figurine - so the kids can play with it straight out of the box [after a stressful 15 minutes of construction whilst they stood by impatiently]. As for ages it's untended for I can advice that our 10 year old tester became bored with this set in little over an hour and branded the set "a kiddie toy", whilst the 6 year old really enjoys it and plays with it for hours at a time. I've been concentrating on watching the youngest play with this set and I think it is a better option, out of many similar playsets, for a child to play alone with: our youngest plays with this happily by himself, whereas it usually takes both boys and/or their friends to truly enjoy similar playsets. At the end of the day this is a children's toy that is played with almost every day, so I don't feel as though I can judge it too harshly; the peace and quiet I get as this set is enjoyed for hours at a time speaks volumes. The only niggle I have is that more figures aren't included - considering the price tag I don't think it's an unreasonable thing to expect.

Fun set for play, but not a lot of parts of the price
The lights work well, and the sound reproduction is surprisingly good for such a small playback device. There is plenty of play opportunity for a minecraft fan, especially if they already have additional figures to use with it. But the price being asked is just too much to stomach for this set. It seems a really hard value argument when compared to other minecraft options, like the lego sets you can get for a similar price. There are more ways to use those and I think more long term value. But if you are buying for a die-hard minecraft fan and value isn't a concern - they won't be disappointed. It is a fun set.

Minecraft on the dance floor
The media could not be loaded. Our boy is crazy about everything mind craft and was very excited about this castle and single figure, although for over fifty quid as a dad I was pretty disappointed by the playability of this set. The set takes three AA batteries and has a light up retro 70s dance floor along with some very sci-fi disco music, but that's about it... It just seems too much money for very little playability and I felt I was getting fleeced more than usual by a big company to buy into their brand. But apart from the very limited interactivity its pretty solidly built and could make a good collectors piece and collect dust on a shelf for years. But for our five year old he was more interested in trying to find the same songs the castle plays on the Minecraft music player than actually playing with the castle and he's usually very happy doing creative play with figurines. At say half the price I would have been happy but £50 is a fair wad of cash and I can't see our boy getting that much creative play out of it. Anyway ive done a little video so you can have a look at it and make your own mind up, but its not for us im afraid.
