Leather Journal, Handmade Vintage Refillable Travel Diary Writing Notebook Gift for Men & Women 8.7"x4.7" Green

$22 is a lot of money these days (to me, anyway), and for what I paid for this journal I truly feel like I got more than I paid for. My expectations were beyond exceeded. The photos are the Dark Green Traveler’s notebook. The cover is incredibly soft and feels lovely. I noticed when I moved the closure across the cover, it scuffed it a bit. Being a tactile weirdo, I felt the need to see how hard i needed to scratch it to leave a deep mark and the answer is NOT VERY HARD. This is great, to me, because I love distressed soft leather covers. Inside, there are 3 notebooks and a kraft envelope. There’s a gridded notebook, a lined one, and a blank one. A pen loop was also included, but alas - my favorite pen doesn’t fit in it! A regular pen fits it fine, however. Anyway, I’ve been looking at traveler’s notebooks for a while and this one is absolutely perfect.

I just opened this package and so far I’m thrilled. It’s a beautiful color and I love that the natural leather will wear with age and use. This is my first travelers journal so I was very excited to get it. I plan to use it for writing, and also To organize bill paying and my schedule. I loved that I could change notebooks out as my needs changed. The book was well wrapped for shipping. It was in a bubble mailer and wrapped in a plain brown box with a band around it. It was simple yet pretty enough to gift. Inside, it was also wrapped in cloth to protect the book. It came with a pen clip and a charm (I appreciated that but I may find my own style!). The one flaw is I expected more bands inside the binding instead of just one. This will fit three books but I had hoped to fit four. I may still try to fit four once I get my connector bands. There is very little overhang of leather on the edge of the books so if I add a fourth book the cover may not cover them all. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 but I realize I may be trying to over-extend this book! Overall though, it is beautiful and I’m happy even if the fourth book doesn’t fit!

I am a writer by trade and a lifetime journal addict so when I say this journal is my favorite I'm pretty serious. I love how it looks. The standard size is perfect for my daily needs. The cover is nice and supple but still good and thick. It feels durable. I really like the band that encloses it, this whole thing feels well designed.Being refillable makes it scalable which suits me right down to the ground and I know I will be using this journal for a long time to come.I bought one as a gift and ended up having to have one as my own. I'm glad my green eyed tendency lead me to this, in the beautiful dark green of course... The color is REALLY pretty too.

I purchased this for my first travel journal. I wanted something like Ali Brown's Lovie (youtube), but at a fraction of the price. I give this a 4 star for the number of bands and the placement of them. There are only two bands that attach to the leather folder and they are in direct vertical alignment of each other. These were also a bit loose with no slack to adjust. Yes you can fit 3 folders but if you want to add folders, dividers, additional flaps, zip bags... the elastic cords wont be able to support them. THAT SAID, I purchased the purple and LOVE the color, GORGEOUS! The leather is soft and supple, no rolling needed (my opinion). I have experienced any rub off from the die for the leather. There are a few spots that look like over pour of die but isn't that bothersome since it is only view-able from the inside. The paper pack includes lined, blank, and square grid all on an off white/eggshell toned paper. The paper packs are staple bound (little washi tape and your golden). The grids and lines are pretty visible but not as much as school paper. I wanted something that would support the amount of ink and watercolor I would be using in my journal. For my level, it holds up to the beating I have given it so far. I have used archival ink and Dr. Ph. Martin's black star and considerable amount of water color and water for distribution. Much to my surprise it held up! There wasn't any breaking down of paper with the use of water color, water, and the amount of scrubbing. I haven't used a pen to experience any bleed through, but I do see a small amount of ghosting. This isn't bothersome when the next entry is laid out on the opposite page. All in All I would give this 4 1/2 star; to make it a 5, add 4 vertical elastic cords (horizontally placed with in each other) and allow more slack for tension adjustment. This said great buy for my first travel journal.

Honestly whoever said this is small obviously did not pay attention to the dimentions or cannot visualise the actual size of 5.3 X 4 inches. The color is great, and the little extras just complete it!

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but this is great. It is in fact genuine leather. I got the blue one, and I don’t like it because the inside is fairly green, and after having a while, the outside is turning green as well. So I got a dark brown one instead. It is soft, the correct thickness, will hold it’s shape. The pen holder works well. It can get scuffed easily but you can just rub it out, all soft leather will do this. I do wish they would remove the metal piece on the spine, since laying it down can scratch or give an uneven writing surface, not super noticeable, but might be to you. FYI....I have four of the paper books in it and I have a giant 5 color pen that I place in the band, I don’t use the pen holder because it sticks out too much.

I love it! It’s simple, but just what I needed to carry a journal around with me. I hemmed and hawed over what size to get, but I’m happy I got the larger one. I do wish the accompanying charm came attached (the reason I gave it four stars, though if I could, I’d up that to four and a half) I had to attach it with my own jump ring, but it’s nice that it came with the pen loop. The purple color is nice and rich. I was worried that purple would be too “teenager-y,” but it’s not. It’s elegant and rustic at the same time.

Me encanto esta libreta por el precio, llego a tiempo y en perfecta condicion, el empaque trae aparte de la libreta 4 insertos, en mi caso fueron dos de hoja en blanco, una de cuadro chico y otra de raya, aparte vino con el accesorio para poner una pluma, una liga elastica adicional, un accesorio para la libreta y una especie de llavero en forma de la misma libreta pero en pequeño, en general el cuero se siente muy bien y suave, el papel se siente de muy buena calidad y no he tenido nada de problemas de control de calidad, escogi el color cafe y me gusto mucho, comprare mas en el futuro :)

Excelente calidad y aún mejor precio. Incluye un sujetador de pluma, repuesto de elástico y algunas otras cosas. El papel es de muy buena calidad, y me imagino que va a serme útil por mucho tiempo.

La calidad es súper buena y rl diaeño esta divino, pero es muy chiquito!! Si cabe perfecto en la bolsa pero si eres de letra grande mejor escoge otro tamaño.
