Difficult to Swallow
I bought this product after reading reviews from people who had found them helpful in lowering their cholesterol. I do not smoke or drink, eat healthily and exercise daily, but find myself being advised I have high cholesterol, so thought I would give them a go. I noted other reviews about the size of the tablets and difficulty in swallowing them, but being okay with tablets normally, I didn’t think it would be an issue. I was wrong ….. they are absolutely enormous, but worse still ‘box shaped’ with sharp edges and a chalky finish. The first attempt got wedged in my throat and was quite a frightening experience. The second I decided to break in half, but was no better. I am taking three a day, so on the third I chose to crush it into a powder and add it to a small amount of yoghurt. Success. I believe this is probably the only way to use this product safely. After three weeks I feel different somehow and feel that they are working, but the proof will be when I have my next blood test.

They work !
Just a little bit about me, male 45, reasonably fit and healthy for my age. I live an active life, I dont drink but I do smoke socially. I had a work related general health test which is where I learned that I had high cholesterol, 7.4...high cholesterol is in my family, my mother was over 10 and is on medication for the rest of her life. So to be honest it was no great shock to me that mine was this high despite eating healthily.I went to my doctors and he just told me to quit smoking and eat better, I'm already a great lover of porridge so that box was ticked however I started to introduce foodstuffs that lower or maintain cholesterol spreds and the like.6 months later I had the test again, this time it had gone down but only to 6.7, progress yes but not enough. After a bit of research and following advice I purchased these sterols. I was taking 3 a day in the morning religiously. I completed 1 course over 40 days, and got tested again. Now I dont expect you to believe me as I cant believe it myself but my cholesterol level dropped to 4.2I'm continuing with another cycle at 3 a day until I reach 3.0ish then I will switch to 1 tablet to maintain my levels.Do what you will with that information, but it worked for me, I dont feel any different physically now to having a much higher cholesterol lvl, but I'm happier in the knowledge that it's being reduced and managed.I hope you have the same results.

Decent product that ticks all the boxes
My cholesterol level was 6.6. I love my food so to strike some kind of a deal with this, I'll sometimes have one slice of toast with lots of lovely butter, another slice with a spread ( Flore, Benecol etc ) containing sterols. Mix and match a bit, balancing things out, layman's logic. Regarding the pills, it's one a day for me. Had some blood tests done recently for an unrelated issue and when reading off the results she mentioned cholesterol level - 5.3. I'd totally forgotten about it in truth, but it was a rather pleasant note, certainly better than being told ' your cholesterol's high ' .The tablets are quite large , if you struggle then you can break them up and swallow the bits. They're cost-effective, too. No way will I pay the price of those one-a-day yogurty shots with plant sterols in them. Ridiculous price. So, my approach is don't make yourself miserable by avoiding things you enjoy eating, just balance things out a bit and take something like one of these tablets a day. Not even sure if I need to be using stuff like the spread etc, but in case I forget one, I'll have the other. Not in huge quantities either, it's not necessary.

Bought these to reduce cholesterol
Bought these to help reduce my cholesterol. The tablets were good value for money but unfortunately too large for me to swallow easily and would keep getting stuck in my throat. Not sure they made a difference as after 3 months there was no noticeable change in my cholesterol

Weird side effects for me
I can't describe the feeling I'm getting and I thought it was stress manifesting in a new way. After taking this within a few hours I felt having a lump in my throat and a short of breath feeling. I also got mild+ stomach pains so I stopped for a few weeks and that went away. Again, I thought that was stress related too. Didn't take for a few weeks and started again. All the weird symptons are back. I guess this is not for me.I took 3 pills a day up to the first break, and restarted a few days back with 2 a day.Age 50, I'm not overweight. I run frequently and active but there is high cholesterol thoughout the family hence I wanted to try this as the doctor wants me to go on statins soon.It appears the symptons are pointing at me taking these pills. They are in the bin.I had no isse with the size and lump is not the pill being stuck in my throat.
