My straightener stopped working for some reason after 2 years and when I reached out to the company to see if I had warranty, they kindly sent me a new one! I was so grateful since I really loved this straightener/curler. It doesn’t pull your hair and heats up so quickly. The quality is so good, leaves my hair smooth, and although it took me a while to get used to curling with it, it turns out beautifully and the curls last all day. Highly recommend!

I purchased this a year ago and it didn’t work well at all with my hair at the time. I planned to give it away and figured I’d give it one more try and am so glad I did! In combination with my heat protectant, it glides so well on my hair, keeps it smooth and sleek and straightens and curls really nicely. Beachy and tight curls. I love the rounded barrel. It doesn’t tap out when I get to the back, still as hot. Highly recommended.

Although the product did not work for my hair type, the customer service team was absolutely incredible!They reached out to me right away after I was struggling with a bit of snagging and kinks and they took the time to guide me though options on how to use the product differently in the hopes to get the most out of this product. When it still just wasn't a right fit for my hair type, they offered a full refund without hesitation.It's very rare to have such a quality customer service representative take the time to do all of this and be so kind.All hair types are different, and unfortunately this straightener/curler was not a right fit for me, but I wish it was just on how kind they were to me throughout the process.

I needed a new flat iron for my Ethnic hair, so I began combing through pages and pages of them on Amazon. (I’m black, by the way, and for those who go by hair texture, I have a combo of 3C and 4A hair that Loooooves to Loc if you LOOK at it the wrong way!)There were some decent choices, many of which I had seen before, but I wasn’t looking to spend over $50 (though I know you get what you pay for). I came across this one and looked at the price- more than $50. Hmmm....I did, however, LOVE the look of the product. So I decided to head straight to the most important section of the page: the Photo reviews. I was actually shocked to see so many different hair types and textures represented! And the fact that their hair ALL looked amazing made the product look almost too good to be true!I mulled over the price again and decided to bite the bullet. I told my husband I was going to be spending a little more than expected because I HAD to try this product and see if it worked as well as everyone said.From the time I opened the Amazon box and saw the product box itself , I was blown away! The presentation of the product- from the box to the included accessories (hair clips, rat tail comb, heat glove)- was remarkable! The small, but significant details (locking clip, swivel cord, Velcro closure) made this product a huge step above the rest. But as they say, the proof is in the pudding....Trying this hair straightener for the first time made my jaw drop! I literally jumped up and down, then called my husband to come see the beautiful straightening job/curls it had made! I thought I had owned quality straighteners BEFORE, but apparently not!This straightener is the first I’ve ever owned that allowed me to straighten my hair using UNDER 400 degree heat- and still look amazing!!Sleek Design- Doesn’t Pull Hair- Ability to use Less Heat- For what more could I ask?!?You NEED to purchase this straightener!Your will Hair thank you!(You’re welcome)*I also wanted to commend the company’s customer service as well. This is much much cheaper than the ghd 1" classic, but it doesn't work as well, and takes longer. I have thick, Indian, dry, wiry, frizzy, naturally curly (very unruly not-sure-which-direction-they-want-to-curl) curls down to the middle of my back. I had a babyliss with steam and retractable comb which straightened my hair in 45 mins. Then I discovered ghd about 5 years ago. I've had that 1" classic ghd since then. It straightens my hair in 10 mins and there's no need to even section my hair. The 1inch round barrel creates gorgeous healthy curls too.I need a new straightener so decided to see what new technology is out there, maybe for cheaper, so got this Furiden since the new ghd platinum is so ridiculously expensive. The Furiden doesn't compare.I tested by straightening the right side of my head with the furiden and the left side with the old ghd. Furiden took 3 seconds more to reach the 355degree heat setting. The ghd doesn't need a heat setting since it has sensors. The 3 seconds more weren't a big deal, but having the temp set at 355 meant I wasn't sure if the furiden was actually able to keep the heat constant, or if my hair needed hotter or cooler at any point- which the ghd supposedly automatically adjusts for you. I straightened the right side with furiden for 5mins and 15 secs (about the time I estimated the ghd would take- I wasn't satisfied with it but I was tired so I stopped and decided to see what the left side looked like after 5.15 with the ghd). My right side hair was mostly straight, but still very voluminous, with some wiry shallow waves, and not as straight as I would normally do it. It also wasn't as shiny as I thought it normally would be with the ghd. It was a very dry kind of straight. Then I switched to left side with ghd. After 4mins 15secs, hair was perfectly straight, shiny, sleek, and I was done.I then went back over the right side of my hair with the ghd. It took another 2mins 30 seconds getting the furiden straightened hair to look as smooth, sleek and shiny as the left ghd side.That extra ~6 mins (3 mins per side).... is it worth the extra ~$85? well after 5 years of using this ghd every other day I can't tell you how many times I've been rushing to get my hair done because I'm late or tired or whatever... and those extra minutes mattered. I'd rather spend the money.Then I curled a small section on both sides. Right side with furiden- curled just fine, but the barrel is larger than the ghd so the curl wasn't as tight and therefore fell out twice as fast. The ghd curl of course lasted my usual day and half.I also noticed that the furiden plug is a simple 2-prong while the ghd has a fuse and a reset button - which seems safer?So the ghd is a clear winner. The GHD's shinier sleeker result that gets done faster (which also means less time standing in front the mirror with a fan on full blast to keep me cool, less time with my arms up in the air working, and just less overall effort) is worth the money for me. Furiden doesn't cut it.

I got this for my bestie for Christmas and Oml she loves it and uses it every day! Her hair always looks so smooth and holds all day.
