Scullymens Suede Leather Western

I've already reviewed this item, but here's an update. Vest is excellent, but runs small. My husband wears a large, but needs an large in this suede vest. Contacting seller for exchange and this is what I received as a reply. Thanks LindaHi, In order for me to do an exchange the item needs to meet the following criteria; It has to be in NEW unused and unworn condition. It needs to have all of the original factory tags still attached. This means, they can not be stapled, glued or re attached any other way. Shirts must have the original plastic bag from the manufacturer that it was shipped in. In order for me to re sell this as a NEW item it needs to meet all federal requirements for a NEW item.If a tag has been removed at all and you are still in posession of the tag I can NOT take the item back. If your item meets these requirements, let me know and I will tell you what you need to do to do an exchange. Any item that is sent back that does not meet these requirements will not be exchanged and you will have to pay another shipping charge for me to return the original item to you. Orignally, I ordered this product as a birthday present in a size large. This is the birthday recipient's usual size and you advertised the vest as fitting "as expected." I had to rush to place the (original) order because I was going in for major surgery a week and a half afterward.But when the birthday recipient opened the vest, it was MUCH too large for him; therefore, I reordered the vest in size medium. When I called amazon, they told me there was no way I could return the vest -- major surgery or no major surgery. So, I am stuck with a size large vest that won't fit anyone I know.Worth noting: also ordered this vest in a lighter color directly from the actual seller. The seller not only allowed me to exchange the vest but paid the postage for doing so. If you are interested in men's leather vests, buy them from Shepler's -- NOT amazon.

Nice looking vest, but sizing is ridiculous. I had been looking at a few Scully vests. Reviews of all of them were all over the place on sizing. I order 3 different vests to see which might fit the best. I normally wear a 2X in pretty much everything. Two of the vests that were described as true to size or slightly small I ordered in 3X. In this one I ordered a 4X because more people said it was small. One of the 3X's fit perfect, the way a 2X in everything else fits me. The other 3X was pretty small, I needed about 4-6 more inches to be able to button it comfortably. This one in 4X was the smallest of them all. I would have needed another 10 inches to button it comfortably. Completely ridiculous. How do you justify this? Not only is it super tiny compared to "normal" sizing, it's super tiny compared to your other abnormally sized vests. Scully sizing and quality control is the worst I have ever seen. Apparently they love returns. Complete waste of time, and the 5 bucks to ship it back. Garbage.

As everyone else stated, this item is smaller than its description. Looking at the size chart on the page (Sizes: S(36-38), M(40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), 2XL(50-52).) I ordered a 3XL to be on the safe side and its bust / waist measures 40 inches in circumference when closed. A full 3-4 sizes smaller than what is listed. Being that I am 6'8" this is never going to fit me, so I will find someone to gift it to and hopefully it will get some use.If you are wanting to order this, subtract 12 inches from the measurements on this page and compare to your inseam.

I'm 6'0, 245 with a 38" waist, weight pretty evenly distributed (i.e. no chicken legs with a monstrous gut), ordered a 2XL, which in shirts normally fits me comfortably or a little big. This vest is a full 2" from the edges touching when closed. Compared to other shirts I'd put this 2XL at a men's Large at best.

This vest is adequate for the money. It's very light weight. The pockets are simple but useful. Only the front is leather.There is an adjustable strap across the small of the back. I read a review that said these ran small, I have to differ. I'm a 40, and I bought the large because I also have a gut now.The L was huge on me. I returned it and got the M, and I would say even the M is generous, but fits well enough and helps hide my gut.

The vest quality was good. I was so disappointed by the size. I normally wear an XL. To be safe, I ordered a 3XL. It needed 4 more inches to button in the front. This is unacceptable. I called to return the product and was told return shipping was not free. I am disappointed and will not order items such as this again. I would rather go to a retail store, try on the product and walk out with it for about 5 bucks more. Disappointed, upset and mad.

Size is not even close... do not order one size larger unless you plan to never snap it. Two sizes are required. I'm not sure how they determined that an XL was equivalent to a 36" chest but when you see everyone here say small believe it. Also note that the back is satin even though they take great care not to allow you to see that in any picture. There is no inside pocket. Past all that, the leather is nice and construction average.
