The Thermo Scientific Orion adapter converts 8-pin mini-DIN output connectors found on automatic temperature compensation (ATC) probes or electrodes with ATC to either a 3.5mm phono tip connector or an 8-pin Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-compliant connector. The model with 3.5mm phono tip is for use with Thermo Scientific Orion 310, 320, 330, 350, 370, 555A, 550A, 535A, and 162A meters, as well as other meters with a 3.5mm phono tip input connection. The model with an 8-pin DIN is for use with Thermo Scientific Orion 210Aplus, 230Aplus, 250Aplus, 290Aplus, 410Aplus, 420Aplus, 520Aplus, 525Aplus, 710Aplus, 720Aplus, and 920Aplus meters, as well as other meters with an 8-pin DIN input connection. An electrode, also called a sensor or probe, is an instrument used with a meter to test and measure parameters of a substance. Ion selective electrodes (ISEs) respond selectively to ions in the presence of other ions. Electrodes are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in a wide variety of industries, such as aquaculture, agriculture, chemistry, food and beverage, wine-making and water-testing, and for scientific applications. An electrode can be used with a datalogger to assist in temperature measurement.
