It is brighter compared to the photo, my camera is just dulling it. However it is all about the bulbs you put in, I've put in Philips CRI 90's which give an excellent rendering of colour in the room. I have two of these ceiling lights, so 12 bulbs in total, bringing the lumens in the room to about 5,880 (total of 20W per ceiling piece) which is excellent for an office environment. Lighting works in exponentials, so if you double the lumens, it doesn't mean you double the brightness in the room, you need far more lumens to start doubling light, hence don't be afraid to gets loads of bulbs to really brighten up the place. You can always add a dimmer switch if it's too bright.Installation was easy but long - however very straight forward. Just lots of cables which you have to clip in. It is very straight forward for any competent DIYer. It uses a wago style clip to connect all the wires together.Be careful as the product isn't strong - it will dent if you press it, I believe mine came dent, however I just turned the holder around so it faces upwards and you can't tell. As the products sits on the ceiling, I'm not fussed about how strong it is as no one will be touching it.Overall very happy and would recommend.

Looks amazing once assembled. Instructions easy to follow and very easy to mount where a ceiling rose had been before.

It's big ! Not just circumference but hangs from the ceiling about 20cm. No issue for us as we have high ceilings but if you live in a shoe box new build and your 6ft tall it'll be close ! And it is amazingly bright, a nice bright though not the horrible energy bulb kind of light

The light is as pictured and construction materials feel good and solid.As others have mentioned, the assembly is not easy. You have to screw the arm pieces together but the sheathed cabling inside them is too long and makes it quite tricky to force the bits together in order to screw them in. Hopefully no damage to the wires inside! The instructions are not clear - the wires are black and grey which isn't easy to see from the instruction manual. There's so many wires in the ceiling rose part that its really quite fiddly to pack it in and fit it flush to the ceiling - took quite a few attempts.In the end though it works fine - just took double the amount of time to set up than expected.

Good item and easy to install. Do factor in the cost of globes that will double the cost. End result a win.

Now when It came it was in a box the size of a pencil case 😉 but assembled no problem a lovely light really fits into the room lovely. I went with 40w bulbs warm white

Look great in our dining/living area. Electrician installed them for us in no time. Really pleased.
