Fast Flow Tap

Really good tap. Saves spending a lot of time waiting for cans to fill up. Also easy to fit as it fits in the standard hole in the water butt. Well worth buying.

We already have one of our seven water butts fitted with a fast flow tap, and the flow of water is so much quicker than with the narrow outlet taps that are fitted when the water butts are bought. It took some time this year to drain two of our big water butts, ready to fit the new taps, but a review cannot be written regarding the new taps as they are still in the packets in which they were delivered (very promptly), because the day we received them coincided with the onset of this very wet weather that we have been experiencing, so that the water butts were full before they could be fitted! However, we would recommend fitting these fast flow taps as the watering can is filled so much quicker from them.

What a much better design than that other generic one which just dribbles and you have to go and make a cup of tea whilst your watering can fills. The water thunders out from this one 👍. My butt has a thread so doesn’t need the nut which meant I could change it on the fly 💦.

Staggered by how much faster this fills compared to a normal water butt tap. Only slight negative is that it is so expensive - triple the price of any other tap. Despite this it's a worthwhile investment if you spend long time filling water butts to water your plants.

This was a replacement for one I managed to break after many years. The large bore tap allows a greater flow than a regular water butt tap, I wouldn't go back to the narrow bore.., there are better things to do in life than wait for a watering can to fill! The screw thread is the same size as a regular tap and replaces it directly without any modification to the size of hole in the barrel.Arrived in a blister pack, as pictured. (One tap, two soft washers to seal around the curve of a barrel, and an 'easy to tighten by hand' nut, which has dimples for fingers rather than flat edges for a spanner.) I connected a 1" diameter hose to the bottom of the tap to transfer water to where I wanted.As shown in the picture, the nozzle of the tap is stepped, the 1" hose was a bit large, but I was able to get a seal around the upper (wider diameter) part with a jubilee clip.

I have a few WARD water butts and the taps that came with them are terrible (why?!). Anyway I got one of these for each butt and they are way, way better! If the water butt has a good amount of water in it, this tap is as fast as me using the outside mains tap.Personally I didn't have any issues with fitting and it does exactly what I want it to. The old tap would take 5 minutes to fill the can, this does it in under a minute!

Easy to fit. Works fine. Dirty job fitting it to a pre-used water butt....

I had originally purchased one for a large waterbutt, where the original tap took forever to fill the Watering can. These are really easy to fit and will fit both the waterbutt style that has a screw thread so enabling you to fix the tap without crawling inside the Butt. It also fits those that require you to fix the Nut on the inside as I have both. The flow is really good when the Butt is full. so have now replaced all my taps with this Fast flow tap Really does make a difference
