Best one yet...
If you look around Amazon you see a lot of these re-branded radios (many in the red color). Ive had several others in the past and just returned the Esky version as the weather band didnt work and the dials were loose etc. This radio Greeous has been the best of this series. What I liked:a. Ipx3 water resistant rating (you can spray your gear up to 60° from the top of the device. Look it up for more info).b. Strong 1W LED light.c. 3 ways to charge radio (solar, crank, USB).d. WB/AM/FM. I tested all these; bear in mind this is a small emergency radio (great for packs), so the dials are small and need slow movement to find a station. But a Red tune light will light up when you find it. Very clear reception. Collapsible antenna helps too.e. Solar takes about 10 hours to fully charge (figure two days in full sun). However, interestingly enough, I ran the battery to empty and was able to hear the radio if it stayed in the sun. Once I covered the solar panel it stopped playing, so you would need to charge it up to hear it without sun.d. On a full charge, I was able to recharge my old Samsung Galaxy II almost 30%. Keep in mind, NO radio this small will ever fully charge a cell phone. The Samsung battery is 1850 mAh and this radio internal battery is 1200 mAh (which is the strongest one in this radio model I have found). So if you ever think any radio will re-charge your phone, you need to compare mAh's. (A 1/2 full bucket cant fill an empty bucket of the same size). But that is sure enough to get you through an emergency with a dead phone.e. Conditioning the internal battery. You HAVE to crank it 5 MINUTES minimum to condition the battery when you 1st get it. Then run it down (light & radio on) to empty, then DO IT TWICE more! This will get your radio battery conditioned to then full recharg by USB or solar. Do this every 6 months or so. I put a piece of tape on the battery w/ the conditioning date.f. I like the red re-charging light (separate from the tuning light), that will blink red while recharging. Once it is fully charged, the red light stays on steady to let you know now charged.Overall a great little prepper radio for vehicle or emergency pack. But have more then one. I also have others including this for the house. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CBR1G4S/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

A best buy!
A really good buy. Works great for reception of AM,FM,and Weather. Highly recommended , I would buy again. We used it first night for bad storms in our area. Light and compact. The light is very bright. Best of all...no batteries to worry about. It also charges our phones What a great product.

great for emergancy
Charged IPhone 6 from 5% to 37% in about 15-20 minutes. Given its small batteries I was impressed, the solar panel keeps it topped off and the crank brings the battery back up to a usable charge quickly. the radio has great reception. No problem pulling in my favorite radio station which is over an hours drive away.

A packable NOAA radio that does what it says
This little radio will got into a backpack, tote bag, glove box or wherever you need it. I bought it for my emergency kit in my car. It came with enough of a charge to test it out. It has a very sensitive and small station dial, so take your time when looking for radio stations to listen to. But, I picked up several in my rural area, along with AM and NOAA reception.

Easy to charge, but charge doesn't last long
I bought this radio shortly before Hurricane Florence, and thankfully didn't need it. However, I kept the radio charging on my windowsill ever since. My power unexpectedly went out the other night, and I plugged my phone into the radio. Within an hour, my phone was no longer charging from the radio. I'm not pleased with the battery life. I have not tried out the radio function.

Battery dead at 18 months after purchase
Battery died at 18 mo.despite following all instructions and regular use.The solar panel atop the unit is too small for charging, and the crank will not charge batteries beyond about 3minutes of use of light or radio.Evan a small iphone cannot be charged without several min. of cranking. The radio is very cheaply constructed.I cannot recommend this unit due to short battery life.

Decent for the money could be better
Pros: Solid hard plastic Decent length of antenna for size Crank handle and solar panel does appear to charge it. Blinking red indicator light for chargingCons: Knobs are hard to turn Flashlight is not very bright Sounds as one would suspect a small radio would.
