I was looking for a beginners watercolor set with the expectation of advancing to Acrylics later on. This set has both mediums. The quality of the paint seems good but I am no expert. I didn't expect a pallet to be included so that was a nice surprise. The brushes that came with the set are small so you would need to get some additional ones. Their website "aemhiarts.com/ebooks" has two free "ebooks" that explain everything. Even though the set was not complete as far as brushes go, I thought it was a good value.

We had originally found this brand of paint supplies when we were looking for a kit that was luxurious, complete, high quality and had everything you needed to do watercolor. This company offers the full experience. When we wanted to get a set for our neighbor who is older and talked about wanting to start painting, we looked, expecting to buy their watercolor and acrylic paint set for her. We were so glad that we could find both in one set!!!! She is going to love this set and the fact that it has EVERYTHING you would want in it for both watercolor and acrylics, especially the extender (gel medium)...that is a really nice touch!

I’m just getting into painting and this kit is great for beginners. It has both watercolor and acrylic basics where you can mix to make other colors. It also comes with watercolor paper and small canvas for acrylic painting, with some brushes. Great beginner set for the value you can’t beat it!

I purchased the watercolor and acrylic paint set that comes with 12 of each kind of paint, 6 brushes, a plastic palette, 1 canvas board and watercolor paper pad. Packaged very nicely and looks beautiful! Upon opening the tubes of paint they were all creamy and good consistency although the watercolor seemed a tad watery. During my painting I noticed the watercolor seemed good but did not mix as well as I'd hoped. It does layer but not as well as expected. Once the watercolor dabs dried they were a very chalky consistency and rock hard. Reactivating the watercolor for use later was also difficult. It was not as pigmented once reactivated. The watercolor paper is also not the best. Soaks up water and paint like a sponge. While painting, If you don't get it right the first time you risk the paper coming apart, beading up little balls paper.The acrylic paint seemed ok. Definitely not professional quality but ok for kids crafts and art. Looks nice but seemed to be somewhat transparent unless you apply it thick. During my first painting the brushes worked nicely with a few bristles coming off but during my second painting one of the brush heads came completely off and fell onto the table (see photo). The larger brush suddenly began to lose MANY bristles all at once so it is not usable now.Overall, I think it's a good "experimental" set for a child (get better quality brushes). Use the paints, both acrylic and watercolor right out of the tube. Don't expect to reuse any left over watercolor. It comes with a good amount of supplies to get started and the canvas board and palette was actually the best pieces in the set.

Not the Best Quality Grade for sure. But, for the money - Great to throw in a bag and take it anywhere! Basic colors in both Acrylic & Watercolor.......... This would be a Perfect All in One for the beginner or practice. I'm not a beginner, but can Always use the practice. I use it A Lot for On The Go...........

I'm an artist and my 9 year old granddaughter loves to be in the studio with me. This was the perfect gift set for her to take home with her. It's a great starter kit for any age.

This is truly a complete set, awesome quality paint, love that paper, canvas, brushes and palette are included, as well as acrylic and watercolor and acrylic gel extender. The gel extender made the paint really smooth. I feel like a real artist!

I just started getting into watercolor painting a few weeks ago and this kit is really all I needed to get my toes wet. The paints are very vibrant and a little goes a LONG way. The paper that comes with it holds well but I did notice some shedding when I tried to do a wet on wet painting. No biggie though. Great for beginners like me!
