Blaze Entertainment Evercade EXP-R Retro Gaming Handheld Console with Tomb Raider 1, 2 & 3

Comfortable to use and the screen is good. It's a neat product for anyone that enjoys retro games (or indie titles).

This handheld surprised me. It has the perfect weight, soft buttons and a buttery smooth diagonal pad. Also I’m new to the Evercade world but I’ve enjoyed it very much so far. In today’s day and age where you have access to endless games digitally, it’s nice to have options where you can still use a game cartridge. It’s nice being able to focus on a small group of games at a time vs thumbing through endless lists of games where I can’t choose. Great little device for the price.

Got this for myself because of the classic Tomb Raider collection. This portable gaming device is great & enjoy the controls & feel of the case. This is my new travel buddy!

I like it a lot so far. Really fun playing TR. Picture quality and color is great. Screen has light bleed like others have stated. Sound quality is poor and not loud enough especially for having 2 speakers. I use a headset and it’s very good. Battery lasts a good amount of time. Wish it came with a protective case. Highly recommend for retro gaming. Looking forward to more 3-D platformers. Highly recommend purchase if Evercade has some of your favorite games. Price point seems fair. Update: On multiple occasions the device showed battery had charge left when I shut it off and the next time I went to play it showed dead. Top left button stopped working but luckily it was covered under warranty.

Very sturdy for the money, and anyone who is aware of the issues with the previous model will be glad to know that this one doesn’t get warm at all!

Great handheld. Great value at this price point. Loving it so far. Plenty of reviews out there. Highly recommend you check it out. Hope they keep releasing more Tomb Raider titles and other great retro carts.

This handheld is cheap but you get what you paid for. Cheap plastics and contruction. The device has widescreeen LCD and it does not make any sense, since most of the library of this handheld are games in 4:3 aspect ratio. Another thing that doesn't make sense: even the new cartridges they released like the very own that comes in this bundle comes in white color, the same color of the now discontinued original Evercade. But this handheld is grey so the device looks weird when you insert the cartridge. The OS has some problems too, like the library that somehow shows the art covers a bit dark.Despite all these flaws, I think this is a good product, the games are cheap and easily available, so Evercade is, at least for now, a scalper-proof system.

I’ve been on the fence with evercade for a few years. I almost got their original model about 4 years ago. I’m glad I didn’t. This new one is not only more powerful but redesigned to be more comfortable. Their second design was great as well but I never got it due to hearing a lot of hardware issues. Overheating, freezing/ bricking, and battery life made me cautious. This new model has so far been perfect. It’s been able to handle all the games I have for it and I’m currently waiting for more to arrive soon. It becomes addictive to collect for this devise and I’ve been really happy with the simplicity over all. If you are on the fence between the super pocket or this, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on this. The shoulder button layout is leagues better and this won’t cramp your hands.
