Awesome light. Definitely meant for a smaller tank (we have a small tank with live plants that's about 15" wide), but the stepless dimming feature, which simulates day and nighttime lighting all day, is pretty great for the price you pay. There's a lot of mixed reviews about this, particularly those that either did not receive instructions or the instructions weren't very clear.For those that are having a hard time getting the auto-dimming to work, it's actually deceptively simple - from the remote, just click the 24/7 button to put it into '24 hour mode', then just press the button that is labeled with the time that is closest to your current, local time - this is the equivalent of setting the clock on the aquarium lighting as you would in a more expensive unit. Once you've selected the time, the lights will immediately dim or brighten to simulate the current light conditions and that's it - you do nothing else, ever really. It will dim and brighten all day, every day, surprisingly accurately assuming you don't turn it off or unplug it. If so, you just need to repeat the steps to get the clock readjusted.I've attached a copy of the manual for those that may not have it, and have posted a time-lapse of the 24 hour dimming for those of you that are on the fence.

I am so dissatisfied with this product. After giving it a genuine trial and review,it has really let me down. I even asked if it is good for corals,and as you can see below, seller said yes it was. It is absolutely not and I am about to lose my coral because of this. The product did not come with an instruction manual and I had to google to find how to even set up my light with the remote for any type of settings. It was poorly packaged as well,with no protective bubble wrap surrounding the light itself,luckily the cover did not crack. The remote does not work half the time and the suction cups do not stick to the glass. Very dissatisfied that I now have to spend more money on a genuine light that works. Unless you want your corals to look like my irritated and dying hammer coral- stay away.

I love this light! It's perfect in every way for my 5 gallon tank except I wish the 24 hour setting could be dimmed. Maybe having the ability to dim or brighten based on someone's preference would make this like the most amazing perfect light ever. There is a setting on the 24hour setting from roughly 10pm-12am right before it switches to just a dark blue light that is a "Moonlight setting" and it's just too bright. But all the other settings and colors work great. It's very easy to install and to use as well. I appreciated the suction cups on the side, but I did cut one side of the suction cups off so I would have an unobstructed view of my tank. It still fits very snug on the top of the tank. The light does warn that you need a lid on top, because it is not a waterproof light. I've had it for a few weeks now and am very happy.

I use this in a 5 gallon Vivarium. I was looking for something with a timer and effects for a small tank. I like all the effects and timer options, but there is no information anywhere on the Kelvin rating or lumens. I even emailed support and they weren’t much help. I had one issue in which the light wasn’t going into moon light mode at night but I think that’s been resolved by unplugging the unit.

Very nice and strong light. I am having trouble understanding the remote even following the very basic instructions I havent been able to figure it out. Promise that when I finally figure it out I will attach to the review the explanation.

amazing light works great love all the features and the 24/7 works great.. same as the finnex and satellite but way better price for the same thing. I highly recommend this light.

I bought this light for the auto-dim/sunrise/sunset feature. it works as advertised. the instructions were a little bit confusing, but i eventually figured it out. it would be nice to be able to program a schedule for the custom lights and/or program transitions/dims/fades. this light was purchased to avoid the jolt to my pets, which means i'll never take it off 24/7 mode & i'll never use any of the other features. .

Very good light easy to use,quality construction , prefer it over the aquaneat brand currently using it on 26 gallon hexagon on 24/7 mode . i have 4 24/7 mode lights 2 30 inch vivagrow 1 aquaneat the aquagrow is a very good option and will purchase again
