This solar powered bug zapper seems to zap a fair share of bugs. Do make sure you inspect and clean off the dead bugs every few days making sure the unit is in the "off" position when you clean it up. The down side is that if you have a series of cloudy days or where you place the unit it gets too shady as mine did at the start of Fall, it doesn't charge up enough to stay on for very long at night. It doesn't come on early enough to zap bugs while I'm out at dusk. It does have a setting so it can be used as a pathway light but that turns off the bug zapping feature. The instructions are a little hard to understand being that the English/grammar make it a little hard to know what is being said. I'm not sure how effective it is against mosquitoes; larger dead insects were easier to identify/see.

This product works. My parents house has crazy mosquitos this year and it was driving everyone crazy, especially since she has a lot of fruits growing. My dad said they want a mosquito zapper, so when I went over there today to check. It killed 20 mosquitos and I didn't see any mosquitos flying around.

I accidentally grabbed the metal part while first opening these. I can confirm first hand they do i fact shock very well. I do NOT recommend the metal wire. I do, however, recommend them for killing bugs. They're just bright enough to attract a decent amount of them but they don't do much more than provide accent lighting in your yard. I like that they can be staked into the ground or hung up.

The lights did operate off of solar charge for several months but were never effective on keeping bugs at bay or zapping them.

Waste of money. They don't kill insects. Just gives off a little light. Don't recommend them

The Bug zappers work good, they are made of hard plastic, just wish they were a little taller.
