Purchase with CAUTION, Installation Problems, LED Limits. No Reverse. Useful info, Long but useful.
LIGHT UPDATE: Ok I found out that a traditional LED bulb that is the dimensions of a standard Incandescent shaped bulb will not fit, they will fit but the dome will not fit because the dome is rather shallow and it hits the bulbs, so you are basically left with the type of decorative bulb or candelabra bulb, the problem with these bulbs is the brightest bulb they make is only 60 Watts. The photo of the bulbs is what I installed in my fan. So if you are looking for a couple 100 Watt LED they will not fit in this fan with the dome installed. Still 120 Watt of daylight bulbs is ok for most applications. This is in our bedroom and personally I feel this is brighter then the old 100Watt halogen, plus its a bright day light bulb which we prefer. All in all for the price and the amount of air this fan puts out and that its completely quiet I increased it to 4 stars. Had this fan cost $200 then I could not give it 4 stars but considering you still can get your own LED bulbs or incadescent if you prefer, just be aware of the Watt limit. This fan puts out more light and more air then the $300 Minka I replaced it with. I couldn't stand the Halogen bulbs anymore and I tried several of the LED bulbs they sell on Amazon as so called replacement bulbs but none of them were ever even close to 100 Watts...I have several issues with this fan. Fist off I can generally tell a quality product by the manual and or instructions, good quality products I rarely have a problem with are clear and concise more times then not, well written and easy to read I am usually impressed with the product. Products of questionable quality or cheaper items usually have just the opposite, instructions that either don't make sense or that don't match the product. poor photos, instructions that make no sense. Well this is the latter. First off no phone number, customer service etc no contact info of any kind that always raises a red flag. Second this fan mounting bracket DOES NOT FIT an AMERICAN STANDARD 4" Square Fixture cover with 2 3/4 O.C, the mounting bracket for this fan is considerably larger so you either have to remove the fixture cover you have in your ceiling and mount it directly to the ceiling box OR as I did purchase a ceiling mount kit that is secured between joists, this will fit that but NOT the standard fixture cover that pretty much ever other fan like Hunter, Minka, Casablanca etc all fit. I suppose you could just go purchase one of those brackets and use it in place of the one provided. Once I replaced the existing ceiling box with a ceiling fan mounting kit that problem was solved. Second issue is the instructions, they basically leave out some information that if you are not familiar with installing ceiling fans it could leave you scratching your head. First there is a stainless steel lanyard that come out of the wiring of the fan, no mention of this in the manual, NOT A WORD and its about 12" long.. There is also a J hook included that again nothing in the manual and mounting bolts/wall anchors like fans in this country just get mounted to concrete ceilings or with wall anchors.. Not in my lifetime have I ever seen that, every fan gets mounted to a junction box in the ceiling, they just show the wires coming in from out of nowhere. They also only mention securing the fan blades with these fiber washers, nothing is mentioned about the exact same number of metal washers included. So from past experience I installed a fiber washer and placed a metal washer on top of that for each screw securing the blade to the blade bracket. Also the blade brackets are not installed on the fan, they need to be installed, but the instructions show these brackets already secured to the fan and they instruct you to mount the blades to the already installed brackets that are of course NOT INSTALLED They don't even mention the brackets, they just show you installing the blades to the fan housing.. SO I did as I always do, I secure the blades to the brackets and then install them onto the fan.Now comes one of the reason I purchased this fan and that was having E27 base light sockets, finally a ceiling fan I can install my own LED bulbs at will and avoid purchasing a fan that has a integrated LED light that when it does fail and it will fail you are left with a ceiling fan and no way to light it.PROBLEM I have so far and will update when I have more information, that is I went to purchase regular LED bulbs, 100Watt each, which consumes 16 watts.. There is a sticker inside the light housing that is a little confusing, it says 2X 25 Watt MAX and it shows what looks like a fluorescent bulb. Does that mean Maximum 25 Watt output each bulb, or 25 watt LED that is only like 4 watts usage.. Because we all know that a 60 Watt LED is comparable in lumens to an incandescent of that same size but using much less wattage..Nothing in manual about bulb size does that mean I can install 2 25Watt LED bulbs? or install 2 150 watt LED that consume only 25 Watts each? The biggest problem I have with the lights is that they made the light dome so shallow that I can't fit the dome over the standard LED bulbs I installed so I have to go back to the store and find some other LED bulbs that are smaller in diameter, so this install LED at will and you have all this control is a bit misleading and limited. You are limited to the diameter of the bulb that will fit when the dome is installed and the length because with the bulbs in have installed they barely slab into the Dome opening.. I will update when I find what I can install and still use the dome. Another important feature lacking is the ability to dim the LED bulbs or any bulb..ITs on or off nothing in between, this might be a problem. Usually I don't dim the lights because the 100Watt halogen was so dim who would want to dim it more? There was an issue just mounting the bracket and that was that on this bracket they did something unique and that is they installed a wiring terminal block that for the supply wires and the wires from the receiver you don't need wire nuts, all you do is match up the line and neutral wires and secure them to the mounting block and tighten them down, one wire goes in the left side and one goes in the right so eliminates and wire nuts, however the wires from the receiver to the actual fan wires need another method of securing, they only provide one wiring block. I personally like using Lever nuts, there is no twisting of wires, just strip a wire and insert it in a raised lever of the lever nut and then lower the lever and the wire is locked in place, you can undo them over and over without ever damaging a wire. Included a photo. Never damage a wire again removing a fixture etc.. Check your local codes.OK back to the problem, they placed this wiring block directly under one of the screw slots to mount the bracket to the ceiling, so it gets in the way so I had to remove it which is 2 small screws, mount the fan bracket and then reinstall the wiring block, not a big deal but another step.Another problem I have is in the instructions it clearly reads that in the summer time fan should rotate counter clockwise to create a cool breeze and in the winter reversed to clock wise to draw down warn air into the living space.. Guess what? There is no reverse button on the remote and there is no reverse switch on the fan itself. So those who like to reverse their fans, don't waste your money as you cannot reverse direction with this fan.I gave this fan 3 stars because I will admit its very quiet, it also moves a lot of air, especially compared to the $300 Minka I took down, so if you like to actually feel the air moving from a fan then this is a great fan and depending on what bulbs I can get it the star rating might go up or down since the purpose of picking this fan was the ability to install my own bulbs and not limited to the dreadful 100 Watt Halogen which I hate... This has the potential to be a nice fan if they had made the light dome larger and maybe put a reverse on the fan. Problem with so many LED fans is the limits they have on the light brightness. I thought this was a nice solution that I can go get whatever bulbs I want in size I want, but that isn't the case. I actually purchased 2 of these fans, one for a bedroom and one for a vaulted ceiling in another room. It all depends on if I can actually find some LED bulbs that fit this fan and give me enough light otherwise I will return it as much as I hate to take it down after all the work I did, but I purchased it based on the idea I had really no limits on the light bulbs I could install.. I am not so concerned about reversing the fan as in a standard 8' ceiling in a bedroom I never did reverse any of my previous fans, but in an 11 foot ceiling I need a reverse and I also need enough wire to support a 18" download and this only has enough wiring for the 10" down-rod. Every other fan I have ever installed they always gave you like 36' of wiring, I always had to cut it down but enough for a longer rod, not this, they give you just enough so if you want a longer down-rod you have to go get a wiring extension kit and install it to the existing wires beyond the scope of most people.Again if you are proficient at installing fans and can overcome some obstacles then the poor manual and oversize mounting bracket isn't that big a problem. If you are a person who relies on manuals explicitly then go get a name brand because the manual here is basically useless. If you like to dim your lights then look elsewhere. If you like reversing your fan then look elsewhere. Will update the bulbs I was limited to installing..Photos show the typical 4" square fixture plate against the mounting bracket and how the screw holes are too close compared to the screw slots in the bracket.. Instruction manual which shows the brackets already installed and the photo of the installed fan with clearly no brackets installed, the bracket itself and a lever lock I got at Menards...I took photos to show the size of the included mounting bracket.

Great price for the fan, but the chirp is HORRIFIC!
When the fan arrived in its box I thought it may have been a refurbished fan or one that had been returned. I’ve installed well over a dozen ceiling fans and the packaging in those fans has been standard amongst each other. This fan came in a plain cardboard box and the fan blades and components weren’t tightly packed. Not a big deal, but made me suspect of the quality. Installing the ceiling fan blades you MUST install them loosely then tighten them. The blades more or less interconnect with each other and you have to manipulate them quite a bit to have them set in their place. The ceiling mounting bracket is one that I have never seen before. It was a cheaper thickeness metal, but I DID like the wire connection tabs it came with. Typically you use wire nuts, but this fan came with receptacles that you insert the power side wire on one side and the fan supplied wires on the other than you tighten screws down to hold them in place. Be aware this fan doesn’t have a reverse mode, nor can you control it if you lose your remote control. Lastly and easily the worst part about the fan.......the friggin CHIRP on the fan when you turn it on. Think of a low battery smoke detector chirp - then magnify it by a 100!!!!!!! During the day you notice it, but at night it’s horrifyingly loud!!!

Only has one direction, moves a lot of air.
Fan is stylish and does move a lot of air. I like the timer feature that turns the fan off. I do not like that the fan does not have a direction feature. I also like the terminal strip feature on the side of the mount, it makes for organized wiring. I’ve purchased many fans in my life time and this is the first without that feature. Also the first that didn’t come with batteries for the remote.

Quiet with remote controller
I installed it in my bedroom. The fan is so quiet. I like the timed switch function on the remote control a lot. Now I can set the time and sleep with no noise, sleeping soundly.

The color is very dark and mellow in a good way. Also
The fan is extremely quiet and you can usually only hear it if the house is completely silent. The color is very dark and mellow in a good way. Also, the lightbulb cover doesn’t make the light as harsh. I like it.
