But they'll say "we did that." Okay, there is a huge difference between printing a few pages in English (along with countless other languages) and actually making is useful. Not only was the translation into English pathetic, the instructions that were included required much fiddling just to figure out what this little camera really does and how to make it work as you want. Hence the 1-star rating.And as for the app...don't get me started. Had to figure that out, too, with no obvious help. One-star rating not threatened here.That said, it does appear to be a quality piece. It captures a pretty good image. The price was market competitive.My advice: Purchase with a certain spirit of adventure.

THE MAGNETIC MOUNT IS ITS BEST TRICK PONY. This is very convenient for removing the cam and hiding it. Snapping it back on is very easy. Even if you're not aligned perfectly as you attach the cam to the magnetic mount, it will almost always snap on properly aligned. Once you route the power cable along the side of the windshield, then under the dash, it's all very well hidden.CONCERNING THE MAGNETIC MOUNT. There are three springy pins, one is 5.2V, the other ground, but the third pin is unknown. It has neither voltage or ground. I wonder what it's for? That brings me to the next issue . . . .YOU CAN'T ROTATE THE UNIT MORE THAN ABOUT 80 DEGREES, or you will loose the power connection. This is due to the way the magnetic mount/pins are designed. Yes, there's an internal battery, but if you rotate the unit more than 80 degrees, you will have to manually turn the unit back on, which will then run off the internal battery. I'm not sure how long the internal battery will run. Thus, if you were wanting to turn the cam towards the interior of the car (to video occupants), you won't be able to do it for long.VIDEO QUALITY: The Sony sensor performs as well as you would expect. Video is relatively bright and sharp during the day and well exposed during the night (if a bit grainy).EXPOSURE LEVEL: The exposure level of the video is very good. Some dash cams will severely under-expose the lower half of the screen if the sky is very bright and you are in shade. The SIV appears to favor the bottom half of the screen (good). Thus, if you're in shade, a bright sky will be overexposed but the shady area will still be properly exposed (as it should be).NOTE: The mount only has ONE adjustment for up-down angle. This mount would not work on any vehicle with a relatively vertical windshield.

This camera generates excellent video and stills. I set it up in my car windshield and I don't have to think about it.It turns itself on when the engine is started and turns off again soon after the ignition is switched off.In addition, there is a motion sensor that can be set to turn itself back on if the car is jarred.It makes me feel much safer when I'm driving. I have irrefutable proof of what happens in case of a mishap.If it is the other party's fault, I have evidence. If it is an error on my part, "Gosh, I'm sorry, I forgot to turn on the camera"

Product is as described. Very easy installation and picture quality is great. Only issue I have is when I try connect to it wirelessly to download the videos, the connection can be spotty and take time to connect. Also learned that when choosing a video clip size, opt for the 1 minute since they can take some time to download if you choose the 3 or 5 minute clips. Also, when pressing the buttons on the camera to cycle through the options and modes, you have no idea what’s going on. And I haven’t figured out how to flag a clip for download. When an incident happens I want to go back into the camera later and download I have to look at the clock in my car and hope I remember the time so I can find it in the SD card later.

This dash camera is very cool! It’s small and very cute. Very easy to install and also including the sd card already. The picture quality is very clear, nice purchasing experience . Highly recommended and going to buy another one for other car.

I was in a bad accident where my car flipped several times. the person that caused the accident did it on purpose and I was happy because I knew I had my camera. it does not pull up the video at all. and this should have the feature to save an accident video. so now a person is going to walk away with just a reckless driving charge because I can not show what all happened.

The camera is nice but the life of the camera should last longer than 1 year. I bought two of these a month apart in 2019 and this one completely quit working today. Very disappointed. When you buy a camera that is used everyday, and only works for 13 months, something is wrong.

I was looking for a dash camera for a while. Some of them don’t have SD card but not this one. I really hate to buy a SD card separately. The video pictures are so clear at day time. Nightview is also OK. It starts to record when starting the car and stops when you shut off automatically. Overall it is a satisfied purchasing.
