Cant seem to shoot straight
Always seems to shoot Left.I tried changing my arrow positioning and moving the sights, tried loosing just above or below by bending the catch/sights to use just 1 wire instead, that basically just severs arrow feathers/fletching though.Good still for an emergency, but not good for regular use. I wish it was easier to aim with or if they can post a video on how to use it properly maybe that would help.Personally, I like that I can quickly pull it out and string it in a matter of under 60 seconds - then loose arrows. Awesome.WARNING: All of those carbonfiber arrows from walmart with the small rubber fletchings, yeah, those break in just a few shots as the sights rip the fletching off.

Warning the arrow rest nulls the accuracy
A decent bow and my first real bow im 5 ft 9 and 130 lbs i got cocky and figured the 55# draw would be good however i regretted it i owned another 45# draw xpecter bow was easier to pull back wish i sticked with that one lol also i would fall in love with the bow IF it had a decent arrow rest and came with the right type of fletching for the arrows as the hard plastic vanes on the arrows that come with the bow tear off after like 30 shots

Great, intelligently made, and versatile survival bow.
Great, intelligently made, and versatile survival bow. I love this bow because I can easily use it for both Western/Olympic, Eastern/Traditional/Thumbdraw, and Rapid archery techniques in both my left and right handed stance. I purchased the 35# limbs. It has held up very well for its first roughly 1000 shots. The arrow rest does what it is designed to do quite well, fold in and be ambidextrous. I rest the arrow on my thumb/knuckle and removed the rest because of preference. I recommend purchasing a better rest (the adhesive kind that sticks on the bow) if folding in and ambidexterity aren't an important factor to you as it would be more consistent in my opinion. It also takes down into a very compact form. Would purchase again.

Simply Beautiful Simplicity.
The Spectre Compact etc. has the simplicity of design which makes it quick and easy to assemble or disassemble. The design is almost foolproof--string it backwards or dry-fire the bow (firing without an arrow on the string) could damage the limbs (possibly leading to a shattered limb on the bow and an impaled limb for you). As other reviewers have noted previously, the string nocks need smoothing when you get it. The wire arrow shelf is functional, though crude and the wire succumbed to metal fatigue and broke off after a few times of being bent out for shooting and folded back for storage, so I removed it entirely. I find the grip a little small for my hand, but I have big hands, so I wanted to wrap the grip anyway, my wrapping makes the grip fit my hand better and makes is much warmer when out in cold weather (which has been sub-zero recently). I'm planning on making a simple L-shaped arrow rest that I can insert into the wrapping wherever I want it depending on wether I'm going to shoot right or left handed or if I'm practicing the Mongolian release. By the way, a big factor in my choice of this bow was the fact that the simple design lends itself to such flexibility of style in shooting. It has a few minor problems, but all are readily fixed, thus a solid 4 Star Rating--at least for my criteria of what a basic bow should be.

Horrible, bad arrows and no bow string
The first one I ordered was perfect the second one there was no bowstring and all of the fletching's were clocked wrong with the knock, horrible attention to detail on second delivery! UPDATE just now the arrowhead threaded sleeve pulled out, not glued in properly. Clearly the quality control has gone down on the arrows and the ability to add the bowstring to the order.

I would buy this bow again
I did some research on this bow before I bought it. I found that a lot of people where saying not to get this bow. I ordered the bow on Tuesday and got it Friday. Put it together and I have shout it maybe 30 times. Shoots straight and is more powerful than I thought it would be. I suggest that you mark the limbs so you don't set them in the wrong way. I have read they can break if you do. Get a different arrow rest flip out or a Bear arrow rest. When I contacted Xpectre they got back with fast.

AWESOME
Okay this thing is awesome. *******I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY USED IT YET****** but I will update this when I do, the sheath is pretty low quality, but everything fits in it perfectly, as long as you’re not dragging the sheath around in the dirt and trying to rip it, it will hold up just fine. It comes with arrows that have pretty decent, the bow feels pretty sturdy and nice in the hands, string is tight during assembly, and assembly is SUPER EASY. I love this thing and can’t wait to use it for real.

Watch for splinters!
Arrived on time, but I would recommend cleaning it with a damp cloth after you string it...The fiberglass left tiny little invisible splinter shards in my hand after firing, and they were there at least a day after i thought i got them all... plus they shipped the wrong one the first time, just a 35 lb one when i ordered the 55 lb. They fixed it though, but still...kinda shady on the product specs, and sloppy on the finished product. 3 stars, because I HATE SPLINTERS!!!!
