The fabric is much nicer than I expected- sort of a brushed cotton. I am using in my master bedroom closet to provide added privacy from the existing window blinds. While it is thin enough to let through light, the material is not at all see through and woven tight enough to not let air (breeze) through.

This looks like the picture but has a plastic or vinyl feel to it. This is Ok for my wall-hanging purpose...
