Versatile music studio tool
I bought one of these for my basement recording studio. It replaced an awkward overhead mic stand that our drummer kept bumping into. I clamped it to one of the ceiling support beams. It holds up and stays firmly in place upside down with a reasonably heavy mic. Super functional and it looks good in my studio. My only complaint is that I want to buy more and Spin Tech seems to be out of them for awhile now. I’d also like to suggest to the company to make a few longer ones. I could really see replacing more of my annoying space grabbing floor mic stands with these clamp stands, if they were longer/more versatile.

SpinTech Flexible Gooseneck Microphone Stand
Excellent product, heavy duty clamp and goose neck. The only concern is if you have to use a different mic. holder, like for a wireless mic you may need to replace the original mic holder piece, its made for a wired mic.The thread on the male end of the goose neck is 3/8 x 18 thread, most fittings that connect at that point that I have found are 3/8 x 16. I explained that to the company and they will be looking into the possibility of having the male end thread changed to 16 threads. Its still a great item and deserves 5 stars. You can use their adapter since the threaded end that goes into the mic holder is 5/8 x 27 std thread.

Just make sure to secure so gooseneck starts vertically, like the photo shows.
Works well. I almost sent back because my first idea was to attach to a lip that was vertical, slightly above me (a shelf) and therefore have the stand shoot towards my face from the start (sticking straight out in front of me). It doesn't have very good stability that way, which actually makes sense because the entire gooseneck is having to provide horizontal support along its entire length. Coming back to reality, I found a lower area of my desk to attach it to, where the gooseneck starts projecting upwards at first, makes a u-turn and then descends at a slight angle. This worked much better. Could be a tiny bit sturdier but overall I am happy and will keep it. My mic is a Royer R-10 (.81 lbs) and I also attached the Audiophonix mic screen (10.4 ounces).

Great stand!
I was looking for a mic stand that was adjustable but wouldn't take up much space on my desk and found this while browsing on amazon. I was hesitant to purchase it since it didn't have any reviews but I figured if there was anything wrong I could always return it. I'm very impressed with it. It holds my microphone in the position I move it to. The whole thing's quite sturdy too my mic isn't extremely heavy but it would take a very heavy mic to cause the mic stand to move accidentally out of the position you put it in. Attaching it to my desk was easy and I don't see it moving any time soon unless I undo the clamp.

Good quality and good value
It is of good material, better than expected. The only thing I’ll recommend to future buyers is that the smaller version work better on a podium. Mine is a little too big; but since you can twist it and adjust to your desire, is not a mayor issue.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Worth the extra few bucks
I needed a mic with a bendy metal arm. I found this. I bought it. It's extremely well crafted and will last a good while. The clamp is stronger than my crippling depression. The rest of it is gooseneck and bends pretty much however you want it to. Holds position extremely well. I use this with an mxl990 and shock mount with absolutely zero problems. Need an adapter however if you want to use this with a shock mount as the stand is made for the traditional mic mounts (the type it comes with.)

Cheap garbage
This stand doesn't work at all for my needs. It suffers from several cost-cutting measures that leave it an inferior product.Foremost, there's no rotation adjustment at the head or the base. Whatever angle your microphone is at when the threads tighten, that's the angle you get. Also, the gooseneck's is very limited. Bend it more than a very small radius, and it will spring back to a gentle curve or it will give up and let the microphone will rest on the desk.Ultimately, because this clamps to the edge of the desk and only goes straight up, my microphone extends well past the end of the desk and is much too high. Any attempt to adjust height or position results in the gooseneck springing back, the gooseneck drooping to the desk, or the threads of the microphone mount coming loose. If you need a microphone stand that goes within about 10 degrees of straight up, this might fit the bill. But that is not what people typically buy goosenecks for.
